Absolutely loved this place but unfortunately it’s been a miss lately over the last year or so. The food quality has gone down by a LOT. My family and I were disappointed with the bastillas we got today. There seemed to be an off taste in both the chicken & fish bastilla but especially in the fish one. It tasted like they used old ingredients and left a bitter taste in our mouths. We took a couple of bites and had to throw it out because it was so bad. We really loved the food before, but I think there’s been a change in the kitchen staff and the quality has changed. I would steer clear of the savory options! I really hope to see a change in the food quality because the service and restaurant itself was great but the food’s been off

Stopped by last night for the first time randomly. Vibes were great, and was busy for Iftar. I’ve never had Moroccan food before and the staff were very patient and helpful. I will be dreaming about the chicken bastilla. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Tried Casablanca Pastry for the first time yesterday. It was AMAZING! We tried the Greek Salad, it is a little different from a traditional Greek Salad, BUT it was delicious! We were able to see the chef prepare it and he did so with care and attention. We also had the mixed grill, which was sooo favorable, the meat was moist and cooked perfectly. The steak and cheese sub was on a great toasted roll. We brought home cookies that were delightful with tea.

Visited again on 7/5/24
Tried the lamb couscous and it was phenomenal. The meat was extremely tender, the couscous was perfectly cooked and the vegetables has so much flavor. The food here feeds my soul!

Very bad experience. I will not return to this place.
The harira I was served was the last bowl, extremely thick and blended, not smooth at all. The ftour was unclear: the harira, egg, and chebakia were charged separately without any explanation.
The coffee was very bitter.
The msemen with kefta was overly greasy, with no kefta flavor at all—just oil and onions.

Poor quality and disappointing service. Not recommended.

I like this restaurant because it offers Moroccan food and a fun atmosphere. However, there are several things I really don’t like, especially the service, which is very important. I understand that we are all human and mistakes can happen, but some staff members make mistakes too often. They frequently forget items in the order or confuse orders between customers, which causes unnecessary delays.

On one occasion, it took them 30 minutes just to bring me a cup of tea because they forgot my order and gave it to someone who arrived after me. This was very disappointing.

Additionally, customers need to be very vigilant when paying, because sometimes extra charges are added. While they seem very careful when charging customers, they do not always serve customers the way they are supposed to.

So friendly and delicious food and tea.

I wanted to try Chebakia, because I know it’s special for Ramadan and Ramadan just ended. Thankfully they had some! Super sweet. Not my favorite item.

But they made unsweetened mint tea for me, and I enjoyed the chicken and beef pastries.

Apparently there will be a full kitchen of foods within the next few weeks, so I’ll have to come back to try!

It’s a good place to be with friends at any time of day.
Prices are affordable, and employees are friendly.
I wish that in Ramadan they will reflect the smell of Morocco.

Update: looks like the interior has changed and it is more like a restaurant now with more seating. The butcher shop is probably gone too. The pastries are still amazing! The mango mousse with chocolate was heavenly.

Love the pastries. If you have to try just one pastry, ask for the “Opera Cake”, but everything I have tried has been excellent so far. There is also a unique grocery store with a wonderful selection of spices and middle eastern options, and even has a butcher shop in the same shop. I stop by at least once a month and the staff is always friendly. This is a great spot for trying new foods that is located between Pollo Royal and Zuzu Momo. Highly recommend it.
