The atmosphere is comfortable and unpretentious—spacious dining room, relaxed pace, and a steady mix of families and regulars. It’s easy to settle in and enjoy a full meal without feeling rushed. Service is efficient and professional, even during busy hours.
If you’re looking for solid Vietnamese cuisine with good value and a welcoming environment, Nam Phuong in Norcross is a dependable choice.
There was a moon light lantern celebration outside, and it had a lot of people celebrating in the plaza near by. the restaurant was pretty busy because of it I’m sure. We were able to get a table right away which was awesome during the occasion.
Service was honestly mediocre. I barely knew my servers name or who my server mainly was throughout the whole entire experience.
The food here though was very amazing very enjoyable very fresh. Definitely recommend if you’re interested in some good Vietnamese cuisine. I had the roasted pork with rice noodle noodles, egg rolls and coconut curry beef with vegetables. My friends also decided to join and they had pho dishes.
At the end of the experience, we did have a hard time checking out, but I think it’s probably because of the busyness of the festival going outside.
The beef soup was tasty, but it was definitely Pho and not the American hearty beef stew. The liquid was thin and the little sweet with all the taste of Pho.
My bok choy dish with peppers and onions-a side of rice that they love to serve you with to make your meal feel bigger was about $15 in which I expected for the vegetable entrée, which really feels like a large side dish that should be closer to $10. we could have skipped the rocket shrimp also, nothing to it really.
I appreciate them being open late, I felt safe, the place is clean, I would eat here again and highly recommend. Of course they had fish, beef and chicken options with plenty of rice and plenty of noodles. You better know it.
No doubt, we’ll definitely be coming back again (and again)!
I highly recommend checking this place out. Friendly staff, great food, and good vibes.
That aside, the service was ok. I came with 2 people and it was pretty packed when we arrived. The ice in our waters were one completely melted, one half-melted, and one that looked freshly poured served to us as soon as we sat down. The servers did well with coming around to ask for our orders and gave ample time when we asked for more and our food didn’t take long, but I will say that when asking for utensils and napkins, you may have to clarify the amount that you want and make sure to ask for extra napkins so you don’t have to later. Another thing I noticed is that our food was a little cold. It wasn’t freezing cold, just kind of lukewarm. Like it was sitting out for a bit before brought it to us, but the food was good enough that none of us really cared. After eating, we left with probably a little more than a gallon of leftovers (we had canh chua/sour soup, ca kho/caramelized catfish, and 2 meat platters) with everyone being food-coma full. Worth every penny. Would 100% recommend.
