Nam Cafe We started this journey in early 2017 when we decided to quit our corporate jobs and pursue our American dreams of owning our own business. We are proud to cook some authentic Vietnamese food for our beloved B/CS community. We have a variety list of comfort Vietnamese dishes such as our delicious Pho, vermicelli, rice dishes, steak and egg, bone marrow and spring rolls. Now here we are in June 2019, we are with our second location serving south college station! Thank you for your continuing support!

I used to really enjoy this restaurant, but my most recent visit was very disappointing. The meat in the pho had an unpleasant smell and poor texture. The broth was neither clear nor hot enough, and it could not even cook the bean sprouts properly. After mixing, the soup became sticky and unappetizing. Overall, the quality has dropped significantly

3 THINGS I NEVER DO! 1 eat carrots, 2 eat cucumbers, 3 leave reviews! This place is awesome! It is my second time coming here and I am over the moon. I love a good vermicelli! I can eat up all the veggies it’s just that good! I have yet to try the baos and bahn mi. I look forward to coming back here 🙂

Well, I can’t say enough good things about this place. We had lunch there for the 1st time recently and everything was amazing. We had the lunch special with the beef pho and a spring roll and one with pork vermicelli and an egg roll. Both portions were so considerable we were able to have enough to take home for another meal. We will without a doubt return. They had such a great menu that even though I am usually someone who eats the same thing, I am looking forward to trying something new.

I really wanted Bhan MI sandwiches for lunch today and found Nam Cafe via Maps search. Cute little indoor dining space and staff was friendly as I did arrive nearly 10 minutes before the promised time.
Got 3 different Bhan MI sandwiches and an order of fresh and fried sitting rolls. Everything was pretty damn tasty and the Pho I saw while waiting looked pretty tasty too… SO likely to return soon.
While the fried rolls were very good, the fresh spring rolls were the winners. The Mrs really enjoyed her teriyaki chicken, but the pork and bulgogi beef were my winners.

We were here a few days ago and it was amazing. Their Shrimp Bao’s are SO delicious and flavorful and texturally pleasing. You get the silkiness from the bun and the crunch from the cabbage and shrimp in every bite. I regret not ordering two. We also ordered the special fried rice and the Banh Mi. All excellent choices! We asked for 2 plates so we could share the fried rice, and to our delightful surprise, they split the rice for us onto 2 plates, so thoughtful! The Banh Mi was crunchy and delicious too. If you haven’t been here, you should!

I used to like this place and it’s right by my house, but the last 3 times I have been here they have served me some of the worst Pho I have ever had. Pho is actually one of my favorite foods. I thought maybe the last two times were just bad days, but this store has consistently served bad Pho and they actually charge more than other Pho restaurants, which are much better.
The soup was okay.
The basil leaves are always wilted. They overload the bowl with overcooked noodles and they also serve me without bean sprouts every time. The waiter always has an excuse, this time it was “ Hurricane Berly impacted supply lines.”
I know the rating seems a little harsh, but I truly believe in this case it wasn’t necessary. I did not enjoy my meal.

Love this place! I got the vegetarian pho with GF noodles and the vitnamese egg rolls (not gf). They were both soooo good! Cannot recommend enough, everything tastes fresh and is pretty healthy for takeout. I’ve also gotten the chicken pho before and liked that too! Anytime I’ve recommended it to friends they’ve been happy with it.
