Absolutely delicious!! Worth the wait.

We ordered the poke bowl, ribs and fish and chips for the girls.
Everything was perfect, will definitely be back!!

Order an extra side of Mac and thank me later ✌

We ate here for the first time on our recent vacation to Maui. The food was great, the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast was so unique. My husband said the homemade furikake-garlic breakfast potatoes were amazing! The atmosphere was fun and we loved the outside sitting area. (Watch out for the chickens, Lol)

Stuffed French toast was so delicious! I had the lite breakfast because I knew my mom would need help with the French toast. Eggs & potatoes cooked perfectly & sourdough bread was delicious- I should have gone for the bigger breakfast with meat. We also had the eggs Benedict that was very good! Personally the orange juice was too strong- but that’s my only complaint.

Firstly, I wouldn’t listen to the negative reviews. We stopped here on a Saturday for late lunch/happy hour and were able to be seated in 10 minutes. Ordering as you walk in is very easy. We got the poke taco and crab cakes from the HH menu. For lunch we got the CBLT and the Cuban. Everything was delicious. My husband has high standards for Cubans and this made it in the top 10. Drinks whether they are alcoholic or NA you get from the bar. You may have to wait a bit if there is a line but it wasn’t an issue for us. Prices are reasonable to everywhere else on the island, nothing over the top. I would highly recommend stopping in here!

It was one of the only non-hotel affiliated breakfast places we could find on this side of the island and I’m glad we did. Many great breakfast options.

We had the pancakes, french toast, Portuguese sausage side, and vegetarian Benedict between the 3 of us. Everything was very tasty. We liked the open air setup. Would definitely return for another meal.

Had dinner here; maybe breakfast would’ve been a better choice.

Pros:
– Daughter had the raw salad with tofu patty; she loved it and said it was her favorite meal she had on our trip.
– My son had the short ribs and he loved them. The mac salad that came with it was some of the best we’ve had.

Cons:
– This is the dumbest set up logistically for a restaurant I’ve ever seen.
– You wait in line outside (we waited 45 minutes because we heard the place was great and worth it) and place your order with the hostess up front, then see yourself to a table, get your own water at a water station and any other beverages at the bar where they just set them there with your number. Keep in mind it’s the same spot where people are ordering their drinks so you have to wade through them to get to yours.
– Iced tea was weak and watered down as was the cranberry juice.
– They had live music which was way too loud for the venue (and I’m a musician) so we sat outside to escape it. The lights outside are bright LED and are way too bright which kills any vibe.
– I had the Pacific Mahi Mahi (which sounded great on the menu). It was bland and the tiniest portion of Mahi. The salad was a handful of greens that were flavorless and barely dressed. Served with dry brown rice with a few pieces of pickled ginger on top. Really? For $23? Should’ve just ordered a burger.

Special note: What is the point of tipping here? You order your food from the hostess who then gives you a tray with utensils and you go seat yourself. Then you go get your own water. And then you have to wait in line at the bar for whatever drinks you ordered from the hostess (if you want another drink, you have to go line up to order more and this is for all drinks, not just alcohol). Somebody eventually brings your food out to your table, but other than that, why in the world would you bother tipping at this restaurant?

Tried it once; won’t be back.

Great locally-recommended place, great food, friendly staff. They had a relatively long line at prime dinner hour (6:30p), but it moved quickly and we did not wait more than 30 mins. My husband and I both had the mahi and it might just be the best fish we have ever had.

Nalu’s is one of my go-to spots in Kihei! The staff is always friendly, upbeat, and makes you feel right at home. The location is perfect — easy to get to, with a relaxed open-air vibe that really captures the Maui lifestyle.

I stopped in for happy hour and everything was on point. I had the seared ahi, Hawaiian short ribs, and ahi tacos — all absolutely delicious and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions are generous for the price, and you can really taste the care that goes into their food.

Their happy hour is one of the best around — great prices, generous portions, and awesome drinks. The cocktails are fresh, creative, and the perfect pairing to the food and island atmosphere.

If you’re looking for a spot that’s got amazing food, great people, and good vibes all around, Nalu’s is it.

First time at Nalu’s .I have been reading about it for years and today we checked it out! We Went for Happy Hour and it was great! The Mai Tai’s for $8 is a great price and you can taste the rum! Really good and a fabulous price! We had the happy hour ahi which was really good and worth $7.00. The calamari was good but probably wouldn’t get it again. The ribs were outstanding but for 3 small pieces for happy hour I would skip the happy hour ribs and go for the full order of ribs with rice, Mac salad and kimchi! We ended up ordering a full rib meal to share after the happy hour order because they are that good! Had two Mai Tai’s each because they are that good and such a great price! Not watered down or weak! Really good! Staff is friendly and attentive! No dishes left on the table and everyone is so friendly!
