Thai is one of my favorite foods for over 30 years. We came around 7:20 on valentines night. There were many people there, packed. Yet we sat at the tiny bar table. I ordered the seafood melody, scallops and shrimp were fresh , it was odd that there was chicken in it. My partner had gotten the beef with a garlic sauce.
Although the food itself was fresh the sauce on both meals were more on the bland side. My sauce in particular had a burnt taste to it. We were hungry and it was busy. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was so packed and not sure how they could cook all those orders… but to me the sauce makes the meal. If the sauce is bland or burnt well …. It was far from my favorite. We may give them one more try in the future ….
Please pay attention to the depth and flavor of your sauces….but like I said it was fresh.

Found this place on a business trip and because I had a craving for Thai food (always in the mood for Thai) and let me tell you … Nakhon is amazing! The food and service was 10/10. I got the Pad Thai with chicken and my mom got the drunken noodles with shrimp. BOMB! If I had to make any suggestions, I’d say renovate the inside a bit but other than that … zero complaints. Our waitress was amazing even with a big party (10+) was attentive and didn’t miss a beat. Will definitely come back next time I’m in the area!

I was blown out of the water when my dish arrived. Cashew, shrimp, chicken, scallops, green onions, and bell pepper in the most DELIGHTFUL, robust and tangy sauce, with a side of rice. I told the waitress between happy and contented bites that this was probably the best food I had ever had. I had no idea what I was missing in life until I tried this dish. Wow, wow, wow!!! Is this place the hidden gem of the Roanoke area or what?! All I can say is if you’re in the area and you want a meal that will not disappoint, this is the one for you. Anytime I happen to be back in the area, this restaurant will be top of my list. Oh, how I dream of having this dish again!! Yes, I am absolutely swooning. When you try it, you will be too!! My compliments to the chef and the fantastic wait staff.
My mother and daughter also enjoyed their dishes much. With everyone pleased, there’s nothing not to love!!

One of the best Thai places I’ve ever been to! The food was excellent. Usually with yellow curry, the ratio of the protein, potatoes, vegetables are a bit potato heavy, but this place had a perfect ratio and the spice was perfect. My wife ordered a ginger dish that was also flavored perfectly.
10/10 would definitely recommend dining here!

Such a treasure! Great service & delicious food with big portions for the main entree. Everything was very fresh, & fried food was perfectly hot and crispy. My favorite dish was the chive dumplings!! I love Thai food and have never had them before. Both crispy & creamy, like Chinese turnip cake. Sauce was good too. 10/10 for these dumplings, I’d visit again just to have the dumplings. I’m out of state, so until then I’ll be dreaming of them. Noodles broke apart & did not do well as leftovers the next day, so that’s the only reason it’s 4/5.

Very small but clean and nice. I wouldn’t dream of taking a star away for a small place because the food and service were phenomenal! The owners were so friendly and checked on us several times too make sure our food was good and thanked us profusely for coming. Honestly, if the food was the only thing good about this place it would still be worth it. The salmon panang was delicious. The broccoli was perfectly steamed and a nice portion as was the salmon. The panang sauce was so good on them! Others in my group got a red curry soup which was equally delicious and a vegetable pad thai. We were visiting from out-of-state and it was our first time at a Thai restaurant. We have been to 3 since returning home and none are even on the same level as Nakhon Thai! We will definitely return here any time we’re nearby!

Unexpected hole in the wall. I thought the food was great. Do not judge the book by its cover. Quick service, and quick food for an Asian restaurant. Also not cheap ingredient Thai tea like many places. Give this place a chance and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed!

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was poorly prepared — the dishes were bland, overcooked, and lacked any real flavor.
To make things worse, the server got our order wrong and brought the wrong items twice. When we pointed this out, instead of apologizing or fixing the issue politely, they responded with a rude attitude and seemed annoyed that we even said anything.

This is the best Thai dishes I’ve ever tried in the USA. Everything is so delicious and to the point! So in love with the Tom Yum noodles ♥️ And the waitresses are so kind and helpful.
