Near perfection. A meal I look forward to when I think about the island, even with all my experience with sushi on both coasts. The all-you-can-eat deal is legendary. The first time visitor can’t imagine how much it offers: a generous variety of appetizers (shumai, salads, soups, and more), entrees, nigiri, and rolls. All of the food is of excellent quality. I’ve gone repeatedly and can vouch for feeling satisfied the next day (unlike some all-you-can eat deals with poor quality that take a toll on your body). Featured in my pics: the Sex on the Beach roll, a simply delicious work of art, and the Hilton Head roll, a pleasant surprise with warm scallops and an interesting new take on eel sauce.
But that’s not all: the restaurant offers nearly anything that other guests could want also: burgers, sandwiches, and of course hibachi food, ramen, and other Japanese items.
Top all of this off with pleasant, welcoming service and such fun decor: Harry Potter memorabilia, a really cool fortune telling machine, a bank vault and more.
One of my highest recommendations! I wish them success for years to come, so even future generations of our family and others will enjoy our tradition.

They have good food. Worth eating. The sushi is delicious.
But when you order the Ramen be sure to show the waitress a picture. It comes as a bowl with broth not a plate that looks like the house lo mein.

Had an amazing experience with the all-you-can-eat sushi and sashimi! The sashimi slices were thick, fresh, and beautifully presented, with eel and smoked salmon being our favorites. The all-you-can-eat menu also included a wide variety of signature rolls that were just as impressive. On top of the great food, parking was easy and convenient right outside the restaurant.

Stopped for sushi on a Thurday early evening. We were surprised to be the only ones there so we’re skeptical on what we were going to get. Needless to say, we were seated immediately by the host. Our server was at our table in no time to take drink orders. They have a full selection of beer, wine and saki. I ordered the Red dragon Roll and my wife ordered the Tootsie Roll. Her roll was shrimp tempura, crab, cucumber and eel sauce while mine was spicy tuna, avocado, topped with crawfish salad. Both were fresh and quite good. We finished the meal with a slice of key lime pie. Food and service, both excellent and the price was reasonable as well.

I came for the all you can eat sushi for my second year in a row and was thoroughly impressed. The sushi is fresh and everything I had tasted great. The menu for the all you can eat was also huge and included appetizers, soups and salads, and smaller portions of teriyaki/ hibachi entrees along with dozens of sushi rolls. The all you can eat option is a great value if you come with an appetite. My waitress was very prompt and made sure I had a good experience.

This place is truly a diamond in the rough. Passed by here and saw the “all you can eat sushi” and decided to go one evening for dinner. We were a little skeptical but after reading countless reviews, and finding them remarkably positive, we decided to give this place a whirl. We went about 4:00pm and we were seated immediately. We ordered the all you can eat menu. They brought us a white slip of paper with all the options we could get. Not only is it all you can eat sushi but it’s appetizers, salads, sushi, and small entrees. There were two of us doing the deal. In total we ordered 2 appetizers and 9 sushi rolls. They were delicious, made to order, and very timely. Our waiter was extremely attentive of our needs. I will definitely be returning next time I am here. If you are a little skeptical about the all you can eat sushi here are some things to know: if you don’t finish a roll or anything you order (appetizer, salads, etc.) you will be charged for it, you CANNOT share with anyone not doing the all you can eat but are encouraged to share with those in your party doing the all you can eat, I would suggest you bring a friend with you to do the all you can eat together. I don’t think one person could be as successful. Overall we spent $80 for two people. We estimated over $100 in sushi/appetizers that we ate so we definitely got our moneys worth.

Very chill low key sushi spot in Hilton Head. Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the sushi. Service was good, food was good, prices were fair. The shrimp lo mein was with little baby shrimp that would be found in cheap Ramen but wasnt too bad. Sushi seems to be the winner here. No one in my party complained so I’m ok with it.

We did the all-you-can-eat experience at Nakama Sushi Bar & Grill and had a great time overall. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which really stood out and made the experience enjoyable.
The food was quite good, with several unique and creative rolls that were both interesting and tasty. There was a wide variety of options available, and we definitely ate to our heart’s content—food coma included.
The AYCE option is on the pricier side and doesn’t include the entire menu, as some items are excluded, but it still felt reasonable for the quality and variety offered. Overall, it’s a neat spot with lots of choices, great service, and a fun dining experience. We would definitely return.

Alright so going in blind but a heavy critic of any restaurant I have to say this is probably the best sushi I have had in a long time. The Alaska roll, California roll, and Tigers eye roll were absolutely on point and well put together, the tiger roll was colorful and really caught the eye. The sauce was perfectly applied and portioned. They took a few minutes to get to our table for us to order but it was also super busy in the afternoon with people coming off the beach but as soon as they had our order we blinked and our sushi was on the table ready to go. I’d give this place 6/5 stars if I could and this is very rare praise from a very critical foodie like myself
