The place was quiet when we went since they just opened, so we were basically the first ones eating there. Right after, it got packed. The staff was super nice too, even gave us a homemade cookie, which was a sweet little extra.
Honestly, everything just worked. The burger, the fries, the vibe, and the friendly staff made it a really solid experience. Definitely coming back next time I’m around.
Mistakes happen, specially when its chaotic. Kudos for the fast recovery of their team.
Fries got missed when food was brought over and immediately an apology and a fresh basket brought over.
Food was fantastic.
The burgers I would say rank just slightly behind Little Bad Wolf. Fries have a distinct crunch to them that pairs well with the sauces.
Pretty cool place overall.
(Response to owner’s response): stop lying, these ingredients are from either Sysco or Jewel and do not warrant near as high of prices as you are charging. This restaurant is a ripoff
In regards the food, although flavor is good, it is extremely expensive for the size and quality of the burger. The price for a 8 FL OZ diet coke ($US4.00) is insane.
Staff is not friendly, we asked them to clean the table, and they got upset because us asking, and manners, well… rude!
And women restroom is out uf service, it was really unconscious having to go into the men’s one.
Also the ketchup was seasoned?!
What the helly?! BRILLIANT!
And the fries?! THE FRIES? Yum!
Also I need yall to understand the quality and ingredients that are used to make these masterpieces are worth the price! It’s not a regular shmegular smash burger! It’s happiness and satisfaction in every bite.
Seating did fill up quickly after I arrived, but the menu is small and the food is great so seats open up quickly!
Nice to try but not sure it stacks up as a worthy competitor (in value) to the established burger scene here already. $46 for a burger, junior burger, canned beer and beast fries (with a tip)
We went on a Saturday night and it wasn’t too packed at all, service was great and really quick. As for the burger, it’s very nice rich from the double Wagyu patty, but I think it’s the perfect size. I like the addition of Jalapeños (although I wish they were fresh not pickled, I think that would be even better) and their sauce is great. For fries, if you’re there with just two people, grab one order Beast Mode Style and you should have plenty, it’s a pretty generous portion.
I would easily put this burger in my top 5 in Chicago, definitely worth checking out!
The dive bar feel along with the drink menu is paired down since we visited the other location. The burger is still amazing and worth a buy despite the price, but without the dealers choice pour of malort it feels like they left something out.
2. You cannot get their version of the animal style fries to go! You have to order them like there because they want to maintain quality. I commend that.
I got pick up, but I’m sure the service is great just haven’t eaten in there or ordered there yet! The space is fast casual at the wicker park location. The burger was great. Regular fries were great. I will be trying their loaded fries another time!
