Have been to Salt Water several times over the years. They have the best fried pickles I’ve ever had. Hands down! I try them everywhere I go to find someone that can beat theirs and it can’t happen. Highly recommend starting your meal with these . I’ve tried their daily specials, their fish selection, their burgers, chicken sandwiches, EVERYTHING is fantastic. The burgers are so good they had to make a second restaurant in town. Definitely one of the top tier restaurants in Rolla. I would come back here again and again

Absolutely loved this restaurant! My husband and I were passing through town and googled places to eat. So glad this caught our eye. Servers couldn’t have been more friendly and timely and the food was delicious. Drinks were amazing. Can’t say enough good things about this place! Highly recommends.

This is a solid restaurant. When we first moved to Rolla 5 years ago we were over the moon to find a place that felt upscale and offered really nice food and amazing drinks. The problem is the menu is the same today as it was when we moved here. The selections are lovely but gosh you get bored. What about oysters? Calamari? Mussels? Crab legs? Sides other than French peas and dill carrots? Would also love to see local wines from Spencer manor or beers from public house? You contrast this menu with Spencer manor which has been here 2 years and their menu changes seasonally (food and drinks) with frequent weekend specials that are advertised on social media. We now generally drive twice as far to Spencer and pass on this place because we are just bored. Hopefully things change because it’s a great spot with great potential and we would love it to be a more frequent date night spot!!

We really enjoyed this restaurant! We had the halibut with candied carrots and mashed potatoes mixed with goat cheese. We topped it off with bananas foster. We enjoyed the atmosphere. It is in an old building downtown. It was a bit noisy due to it being Friday night. Our waitress Eliza was also very good. She was busy, but she kept checking on us and kept our water topped off.

I’m a California native who just moved to the Midwest a year ago. This was, without a doubt, the best meal I’ve had in Missouri. My family and I were discussing how restaurants just don’t have good food anymore (they’re all just reheating Sysco foods these days), and our visit to Salt + Water was such a contrast to the grub you get everywhere else these days. The food was fresh, hot, well balanced, and intentional. Seriously, we had no complaints for any of our meal!! Standouts: the dry aged ribeye, the vegetables, and the peach lemon drop! Our servers were wonderful, and we truly cannot wait to return. Thank you for a wonderful meal we can’t stop talking about!

I came into town for work for 6 weeks, looking for fine dining similar to that of back home and I was blown away by this restaurant. Not only does NaCl + H2O have phenomenal servers but their owners are also present, smiling, and offering a helping hand, great down to earth people. The ambiance is great. The drinks were phenomenal. THE FOOD was absolutely incredible. If you go here and do not get the sweet and spicy shrimp you are MISSING out. 10/10 recommend. I definitely will be returning to this amazing establishment. (Visited on 4/1/22 then again 4/10/22, 4/15/22, and 4/16/22)

This was a really good local find in the downtown area of Rolla. Nice atmosphere and a relaxing environment. The food was great with several great fish selections including salmon, sea bass, cobia, mahi mahi, halibut, and cod. Pictures were 2 great appetizers-seared tuna & sweet and spicy shrimp. The salmon on cedar plank was flavorful and cooked just right. The dry aged steaks are also recommended.

A friend brought me here as a good bye dinner and it was on point. The venue is smaller and my friend did make a reservation, in case they were busy. The server was fairly new, but she was nice and provided great service. The quality of food matches well with the prices and you can taste the freshness in each dish. The entree was the right portion size for the meal and my steak was cooked perfectly. The flavors were all there with each dish we ordered and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I would definitely come back and bring friends to this restaurant.

My partner and I shared an order of sweet and spicy shrimp, and an order of tuna poke nachos. They were both incredible.
I had the special, halibut over squid ink pasta. It was so delicious. My partner had the mushroom and scallop pasta, which was very tasty. Portions are a great size. Pasta cooked perfectly. Proteins wonderfully done.
Desserts were a brownie sundae and raspberry cheesecake. The brownie was a little dry but it was still a great dessert. The cheesecake was great.
I can’t wait to come back and try a few more dishes from the menu, and excited to try some other specials. They’re doing it right at NaCl + H2O.
