The previous owner of Happy’s in Ripon have moved location to Salida. I was disappointed that they closed down, but I’m even grateful that their new restaurant is closer to me. I dine in for their lunch buffet. They give you the option of garlic or plain naan that is complimentary with the buffet; along with their basmati rice. Their buffet is smaller when it comes to their food options. Every dish is flavorful with the seasoning and spices. The tandoori chicken is by far, the best tandoori chicken I’ve had from an Indian restaurant. The spices and seasoning is super flavorful. The fish pakora is delicious. Crispy batter with the flavorful spices/seasoning. The chicken and goat curry did not disappoint either. I couldn’t help myself, but eat several plates of the curry. The butter chicken, Shahi Paneer, and the other dishes are delicious. I’ve sampled all the dishes along with the dessert. The Gulab Jamon and rice pudding is delicious. I really like the rice pudding. I can taste their rice pudding is made with basmati rice. The texture of the basmati rice grain is much thinner than the regular rice. Their chai tea ☕ is refreshing as well. The waiters do a wonderful job of refilling my water when it gets low. Thank you very much for a delicious meal. See you again soon.

Me and the wife (both from England) were travelling around California and we booked into a hotel not far from the restaurant. As we drove by it going to the hotel we both just fancied a curry. We order the curry for a delivery and when the food came it was still hot. The food was amazing, my wife is a vegetarian (no idea why) and obviously I’m not. We both love a curry and have them wherever we go, but this curry was just the best, to the point we decided our next road trip around California we will pass by this place and order some more food.

I had a great experience at Naan N Oven. The staff is very welcoming and friendly, which made us feel comfortable right away. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and the buffet was absolutely delicious. I especially loved the aloo tikki, tandoori chicken, and naan—they were amazing. The samosas were mouthwatering and tasted freshly made.
You can tell that the owner takes pride in maintaining the restaurant and serving fresh food. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy quality Indian cuisine. I hope they add more items to the menu in the future, such as Momos and more goat dishes in the buffet. Highly recommended!

Good quality food, fine for takeout, completely awful for dining in – I see they have a lunch buffet and the service may be more helpful during those times but for dinner its nearly nonexistent – dressed sloppy and disinterested in drink refills or bringing the check, mostly just hanging out in the kitchen. And zero atmosphere in the dining room – glaring bright lights and undecorated walls, huge area of exposed fixtures and sockets for screens… the food is promising but there is no effort to make a pleasant or welcoming atmosphere

Today I went to Naan n Oven Indian Restaurant and ordered veg biryani. It was very tasty and full of flavor. The restaurant staff was very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the food so much that I ordered more items for dine-in, and everything was delicious. Great food, great service, and a wonderful experience. I will definitely visit again!

Order was ready when I arrived. Counter service was excellent. My wife’s mil spiced saag paneer seemed more medium spiced, a bit hot for her taste; but the dish as a whole she enjoyed. I had medium spiced chicken vindaloo: spicing was excellent, as was the sauce, the chicken and potatoes sliced and cooked perfectly. Garlic naan was very good. And prices were very reasonable. We definitely will come again!

We are so happy that they are back. Was Happy’s in Ripon. Hands down the best we have had. Didn’t know until I asked cause the food was so familiar, the taste was second to none. And now there only a mile away from us.

Finally the OG owner of Happy’s in Ripon has reopened this place. The flavor is just as I expected. It was amazing. Their signature dishes- Butter chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are spot on. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu.
