Their soups are fabulous with lots of flavor. There are usually 2 soups to choose from. You may sample before ordering. They offer a grilled cheese sandwich for $5. when you purchase soup. There are many sandwiches to try too. Fast service!

Always terrific, tasty, quality ingredients, sometimes very creative takes on traditional soups AND always superb seasonings.

Great variety of sandwiches. They have daily soups which are always delicious. Some items in the refrigerated cases as well. Great customer service. They’re only open at lunchtime definitely worth the stop!

This is still my favorite soup and sandwich place in the area. They used to be closer to Mystic but their location in Stonington/Pawcatuck is worth the drive. They typically have two soup options that are freshly made for the day which are usually posted on their Facebook page around 11am. The flavor is amazing. I particularly love their chowders. They have an entire sandwich menu to choose from to complement the soups and the sandwiches are good too. Sometimes they will also have soup from the previous day in the fridge available if they didn’t sell out so you may still be able to get some if you missed a day. There are small tables inside if you want to dine in and some outdoor seating in the warmer weather. The location is usually out of the way for me, but I will drive all the way from Groton to get their chowder, it’s that good.

I’m beyond happy to write this review. I used to love this place years ago and they closed. Well, no more. By chance i found that they were open and was finally able to stop in today and try it (again). Had barely changed. I think the bread is a little different and it wasn’t “pressed”panini style line it used to be, rather seemed to be toasted in an oven. Otherwise, was spot on to what I remember. For those if you who don’t remember, this is a small shop. Order a sandwich with a small scoop of potato salad for about 10 bucks give or take. Soup starts somewhere around 2-3 dollars a cup. There’s a few cold selections if the fridge to go, but the daily soups are worth it. Previously when they sold out, they were done for the day. Not sure how the business model has changed. As for the sandwich i got the (Tom’s or Tim’s or Ted’s sandwich, I’m not entirely sure). Either way it’s roast beef with gorgonzola, and onions. This has got to be some if the most tender beef I’ve had on a sandwich. The onions and gorgonzola play nicely giving a somewhat sharp but very mellow flavor. Totally recommend it. They load it up pretty good too. I personally wouldn’t mind a few more onions but very good.
