The atmosphere is absolutely adorable — vibrant, fun, and full of great energy! The service was extremely attentive, and you can tell the staff truly works as a team. Their efficiency and strong connection made the whole experience even better.
Now for the most important part — the FOOD!! Oh my goodness, it was incredible. The barbacoa was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly tender, while the carne guisada had zero fat and literally fell apart with every bite. Everything tasted so fresh and light — not heavy at all — which meant I had room to enjoy a few more tacos (and I definitely did!).
If I lived closer, I’d probably be a regular here. Can’t wait to come back!
Once we sat down, the food sealed the deal. The tacos were incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The tortillas were so soft and warm that they almost melted in your mouth — you can always tell when tortillas are made right, and these were absolutely on point. Every bite tasted homemade, comforting, and authentic.
What really surprised us in the best way was the hospitality. The staff made us feel genuinely welcome, and as if the good vibes weren’t already enough, they even offered us free coffee. It’s little gestures like that that make a place stand out and make you want to come back.
Between the atmosphere, the friendliness, and the amazing food, My Tias is definitely a spot worth visiting. If you’re looking for fresh tacos, soft tortillas, and a fun, welcoming experience from the moment you walk in, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
All the waitstaff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Our waitress was a sweetheart. She had a cheerful attitude. I liked that she checked on us often.
They gave us some chips and salsa. The chips were over fried and had a weird after taste… almost dessert like. Their salsa had no flavor or heat to it. It just look like tomato sauce.
Carne Guisada – the meat is tender almost like potted meat. The flavor is mild. My hubby’s flour tortillas were hard and tasted old or as if they were reheated too many times.
Bean and cheese- the refried beans are very soupy. They have a seed oil taste or it could be lard. I was hoping they used bacon grease but doesn’t taste like it.
Beef fajitas with onion and green bell peppers- now this is the star. The meat is very tender and seasoned to perfection. The onions are grilled perfectly. Only thing in our order that was actually delicious. My tortillas were soft and good.
Water tasted weird like a soapy flavor. The tea is weak.
Now where you have to be careful is when you get checked out by the owner. All the prices on the menu is not what she charges. For examples: the bean and cheese came out to $2.50 instead of the $1.80 listed. Beef fajitas show as $4.99 but instead was $5.50. She tried to charge us $43.28 but when I pulled out cash she cleared the total before I could say anything. So if I paid card she would have doubled our price. With cash it came out to $23 and change. She did not give us our receipt.
For me, the food isn’t truly worth that price.
