Multiple visits: Okay so if you avoid the coffee (go across the street for that) this is a totally decent lunch spot. The OJ is fresh. Thai peanut salad pork wrap is healthy. Other lunch specials and snacks are worth it.

1st visit: Not a fan of my macchiato. It was huge and milky–everything a macchiato should not be. If you need a coffee, I recommend getting an espresso.

Darling cafe with very nice people working. I ordered the pork Banh mi thanks to all the other positive reviews on here and was delighted to find it lived up to my expectations! I visited at 10am on a Friday and they were serving breakfast and lunch. My matcha milk tea was ok, but everything else was great so I kept 5 stars. Next time I’ll get a Vietnamese coffee to go with my sandwich 🙂 Also, it was cool to see the staff making a mass food order for their non-profit side. Cute cafe, will definitely visit again. Also, I don’t think it’s hard to find; they have good signage in the little alcove, can’t miss it.

3 stars for my coffee because it was pretty good. It was more expensive than Starbucks, which surprised me, but still tasted good so I guess I can’t complain too much.

I’ve tried to support this place in the past but didn’t end up returning because of the service. I decided to try again, years later, and unfortunately had a similar experience. I ordered through the window and when the employee greeted me, she was great. When it came time to pay, I selected to opt out of a tip (I never tip for coffee – I’m sorry, but I don’t) and her demeanor changed instantly. Instead of saying “thanks” or “one second” or “your coffee will be out soon”, she abruptly slammed the window shut without saying a word. I thought “Wow!” but ignored it and waited for my coffee. When it came out a few minutes later, I said “Thank you!” and she literally slammed the window shut without saying a word AGAIN. Needless to say, I won’t be back.

Relaxing North facing patio (not hot) with window service, set back from the road (indoor seating also available). Salad is very fresh, generous size for under $10, quality ingredients though mostly romaine, dressing on the side. The Thai peanut salad is good. Bun mi also is good–large meat portions and pickled vegetables–can be ordered with less or no mayo; comes on a soft roll (not baguette). Great value lunch and very nice people.

Who knew you could get a decent sandwich for less than 10 bucks in this day and age. Great quality and good value. The vegetables in my sandwich were fresh and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My favorite new breakfast and lunch spot.

This place is located at the first floor building. There are two ways to order either you order it outside or you need to go through the security in order to go inside to order and eat inside. I have to say the food is very delicious and affordable. The only issue I have is the menu is so small and very hard to read (especially the cursive).

The overall dine in experience was excellent and employees are awesome as well. It is also very clean. I will definitely come back if I ever happen to be at Sacramento.

Wonderful food & mission! Their move to the indoor/outdoor space on the 1st floor of the John Moss Federal Building (with convenient order ahead/pickup window) has been amazing. Tofu Banh Mi is my go-to
Get a book from their Little Free Library and enjoy on the spacious patio!

My favorite place in downtown for lunch when I’m in the office for the day. Food is delicious and always amazing, staff and service is amazing as well. Prices are also very affordable. My favorite is the curry chicken sandwich. I look forward to coming into the office just so I can get this sandwich for my snack lol

Friendly people, decent food, good price. Recommend the teriyaki chicken plate, not the ramen. The macha milk tea with boba is decent.
