Great food and atmosphere, but the service left a lot to be desired. We stopped in for a family dinner and left knowing we would go back again. There are many seating options with great views of the surrounding town and mountains, or a more secluded vibe near the neon bar lights. We had the award winning Arabe tacos( ), Burris tacos(!!!), bean and chz quesadilla, chips n guac n salsa trio, impossible tacos, and corn ribs( ). The flavors were fantastic. I definitely understand the award winning titles. We also tried both aqua frescas( ), highly recommend. Our server was quite unattentive (Kevin I believe), the manager and food runners bringing most of our food and doing the check-ins. Our server spent considerably more time organizing empty tables around us than with us (not busy). Not sure if it’s a restaurant policy, but he also shot down any edits we wanted to make to be more vegetarian friendly.

In a sea of Mexican restaurants, this place stands out. The tacos are the best in Boulder and that is over Verde and Efrain’s. If u like ground beef tacos, which I do, the Americano’s are the best. Ask for the flour tortillas. My son says the chicken tacos are the best, again – ask for flour tortillas. Love this place. Queso in a skillet is on time too.

My Neighbor Felix is hands down one of the best happy hour spots in town right now — 3 to 6pm every day (except Tuesdays) with $3 signature margaritas, $3 tacos, and a killer $4 and $5 menu that makes it dangerously easy to stay for “just one more.”

The patio vibe hits right: TVs if you’re watching the game, a shaded patio with heaters for cold days and a view of the Flatirons when the sun’s out. And unlike most places, you can actually bring your dog — they’re genuinely dog-friendly, not just “tolerant.”

Chris runs the show behind the bar — he’s not just a bartender, he’s also a manager, and you can feel the leadership. He’s quick, thoughtful, and keeps everything moving without the chaos. Maddie was our server and made the whole experience smooth, warm, and actually fun.

Also worth calling out: the new chef is crushing it. The menu’s been totally revamped and everything we tried had real flavor, not just filler.

If you haven’t been in a while, go back. If you’ve never been, go now.

Great place to grab a bite! We started with chips and salsa as a starter (pineapple salsa was delicious). I had a quesadilla and it was delicious, the cheese used was decedent and the peppers/onions were super fresh! They are all set up for the holidays (maybe a bit early haha, but I don’t mind) Definitely recommend for a chill meal !!

Blue corn chips! They are so great for everything. The tomatillo salsa packs a spicy punch – so good while the mango salsa offers a refreshing summer bite with a crunch. The pork chile is bit watery with a few chunks of pork.

Happy eating

Wonderful place to stop in for brunch. It was a Sunday and it wasn’t that busy at all. They were handing out roses for Mother’s Day which was really special. The food and service were exceptional. The tacos were beyond delicious definitely my favorite. The strawberry banana frozen margarita was good but could have had a bit more flavor. Overall it was a great experience.

A really top notch experience. We had a small group of 8 and they accommodated us well. Our server did an excellent job but seemed to be a little stretched thin. He was constantly on the move, but getting drink re-orders and other ancillary items took quite a bit longer than expected.

I had the nachos and they were absolutely delicious. One of the better nacho experiences I’ve had. They could’ve been layered a little better but the flavor profile and topping ratio was excellent. I also enjoyed a michelada which was very authentic. The sweet rim coating was a unique touch.

All in all a great dining experience and I highly recommend their cocktail menu.

I came here in October 2023. The place is nice and cozy. It was bustling, and we had to wait a few minutes to find a table. The food was good, but something really bothered me that day. I ordered a salmon salad, intending to take it to go, but there was a misunderstanding, and they accidentally threw it away. They made me wait to speak with the manager, who said it would take a couple of minutes to make a new one. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I left. They didn’t even offer to refund the salad, even though it was a full bowl, not leftovers. Also, keep in mind it’s pretty pricey.

I recently dined at my neighborhood Felix, a restaurant with a charming atmosphere and a well-designed motif that immediately sets a pleasant tone for the evening.

The décor is inviting, making it an enjoyable place to sit back and relax. However, while the presentation of the dishes was impressive, the food itself fell short of expectations.

I ordered the carne asada fajitas, and while the dish was beautifully arranged, it unfortunately lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. The seasoning was bland, leaving the overall experience rather underwhelming. Despite the promising appearance, the fajitas were mediocre at best, which was disappointing for a dish that should be bursting with flavor.

On a brighter note, the service at Felix was exceptional. The staff was accommodating and attentive, ensuring that every other aspect of the dining experience was smooth and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable and eager to assist, which was a definite highlight of the evening.

While Felix offers a pleasant ambiance and great service, the food left much to be desired. There are likely better options out there for Mexican cuisine, especially if you’re looking for something with more authentic and bold flavors.
