Churro latte had the mildly sweet cinnamon taste, not flat. Good aftertaste. It was nice to see some handheld foods but here is the kicker, the Latin beef empanada was trash. MHOTS, please throw out whatever leftover empanada you have. It is no longer edible. Rancid. Brittle. Old tasting. I am even embarrassed sharing a photo since I bit into it but of course immediately spit it out.

I ordered the cafe miel and it was good, a nice balance of honey and cinnamon. It’s a typical drink that I order at any coffee shop and this one was on par with what I would expect taste wise. I came to work on my laptop and didn’t realize that the first floor is a “no working” zone and only for socializing. So I had to move upstairs which was EXTREMELY quiet. No light background music or anything. I can hear every single keyboard type, chewing of food, sipping of a drink…you get the idea. It was fine, but not my favorite experience. My preference is not library-like quiet while working. It threw me off a bit but for those that need this level of quiet for working or studying, you will definitely appreciate it. It’s just not for me. I would come back to pick up a drink to go or if I am meeting with someone but probably won’t come here specifically for working. I went in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday and staff was friendly and service was quick. They have a nice self of gifts for purchase like jewelry and they serve a good cause. Overall a good experience.

The coffee spot was great—everything from the atmosphere to the setup made it easy to settle in and get focused. This is definitely an ideal area to study, journal, or reflect quietly with a good drink in hand. I love that there’s an app where you can order ahead and pick up—it makes everything so smooth and low-stress. The place feels really cozy and welcoming

What a hidden gem! I stopped by My Half of the Sky in Wheaton and absolutely loved the cozy vibe and mission-driven atmosphere. I ordered a latte and it was perfectly made—smooth, rich, and just the right balance of espresso and almond milk. You can tell they care about quality and community here.

It’s more than just a coffee shop—it’s a place that feels warm, welcoming, and purposeful. Can’t wait to go back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Went in for coffee and a quick snack, the coffee is wonderful and the service is great and I LOVE the mission and social justice work of this coffee shop.
It pains me to write this because I wanted this to be amazing , but the food unfortunately was not great and I wanted to love it! The empanadas were dry and crusty crunchy pastry and the filling didn’t fill the space of the pastry. Ordered the ham and cheese and egg and cheese and they were dry. We also ordered the brown sugar scone and it was dry and tasted frozen. Go there for the coffee and the amazing ethos, eat somewhere else. There were great little trinkets and so much information on the walls about the work that this business does for the community.

Today I visited My Half of the Sky Coffee in Wheaton. I drove about 20 minutes to see this beautiful place because I love exploring different coffee spots. The café was lovely, and my cappuccino was really delicious!

The barista told me that the iced coffee costs only 2 euros, so I ordered one. When I was about to pay, she realized the offer was only from Monday to Thursday — and today was Friday. She said it was her mistake and that I didn’t need to pay extra since she had already mentioned the lower price. I really appreciated her honesty and kindness.

However, I didn’t like the iced coffee with coconut milk and asked if she could make me a black one instead. She said I’d have to pay again, which made me a bit sad. It’s just a simple filter coffee, and I even felt a little shy asking.

In the future, I want to have my own coffee shop, and I’ll make sure every customer leaves happy. Still, overall it was a nice experience, and the place itself was beautiful.

Walk past STARBUCKS and find your way to this local gem. They have a nice fashion boutique in the front and study rooms in the back, as well as outdoor seating. They serve great tea, espresso drinks, and delicious baked goods, but more importantly, go there to support their mission statement of “eradicating poverty while providing hope to survivors of human trafficking, homelessness, addictions or extreme poverty, locally and globally.” Check out their website for more info on all the causes they support.
All this just from a perfect latte and a gourmet grilled cheese. Enjoy it today, and know you’re helping someone.

Very quaint coffee spot! Nice and cozy inside and plenty of outdoor seating. I’m not a coffee snob , but to me it seems they have very good variety, as well as decaf, non dairy , and low sugar options.

They also serve small bites here- mini donuts, quiche, other pastries, snack boxes, etc.

I had the tastiest decaf salted caramel latte with coconut milk – highly recommend.

Apparently you have to pay for wifi here, though, and they offer packages. Can’t confirm for 100%

There’s some small conference/study rooms that you pay for and reserve ahead of time.

They also sell things like candles, jewelry, tapestry items.

Overall, I really liked this place and would return.

Coming out the city this place has DELICIOUS Matcha w oatmeal. 10/10 well rounded taste and lightly sweetened from the two ingredients blending well together. Would get again. Not an overwhelming taste:)

A great spot for coffee. The breve latte I ordered was excellent and the fresh baked toasted muffin bread with butter and jelly was some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s a small place, so there isn’t much room to lounge around but that didn’t detract from the experience. The employees were polite and helpful
