Ok listen, if you’re out on Germantown Parkway and craving Mexican food, do yourself a favor and skip the chump chain restaurants and eat at My Favorite Place. When I first saw the name of the restaurant, I joked about it like a jackass, and was all snarky saying I gotta try it. Well, my jackassery paid off because this place is great. The folks working here are so nice and welcoming. The food was delicious. We got the Grill Margarita, which comes with a freshly grilled orange slice, grand marnier, and small batch Teremana tequila ($12). My friend got the birria grilled cheese ($14) and I got the fajita piña with chicken, served sizzling in a grilled pineapple ($19). So good! Give the place a try; you might be as pleasantly surprised as my jackass self was.

I’ve eaten here dozens of times over the last 14-15 years. Wait staff is always friendly & prompt. I’ve enjoyed many dishes over the years such as Tacos Al Carbon, Tacos Al Pastor (really good), enchiladas, fajitas and more. I recommend the cheese dip with chorizo too. Quality and quantity of food is always plenty. If you are in the Cordova Tn area, stop by and enjoy this great Mexican food restaurant.

Only in a place with a name like this would there be a dish called “I don’t know what I want”. Seriously, it’s a sampler platter. I ordered the Shrimp Tacos and was very pleased. Got to dress them myself just right. Fairly large shrimp. Apparently they have a lot of repeat customers. I’ll be back.

They’ve done it again!!! Raised the bar for all Mexican food establishments around and beyond. If you think that is too strong of a statement, you haven’t had the birria grilled cheese. This was the single most fantastic grilled cheese ever!!!

Once again food that was hot and quick. Service was good. And prices are right. This Saturday wasn’t busy and no hustle and bustle. Quiet, early evening meal stop. They even had a Saturday’s lunch special. Always a plus to get a special on food or drinks, which on the weekends most restaurants don’t offer. So … major B-O-N-U-S. Dining on a budget. Plus, feeding your family reasonably. Cheese dip, burritos and taco salad. And the warm chips sprinkled with that special seasoning blend. Yum! We will return and maybe it will be warm enough to enjoy the outside patio during Happy Hour!

Finally sat down and ate at (normally get it to go) one of my favorite Mexican restaurants!
The service was amazing from the time I arrived until I left. The complimentary chips/salsa was spot on and the spice level perfect! I ordered the guacamole, that’s made at your table, and the flavors were wonderful and fresh! For my main meal, I ordered off the lunch menu choose any three: 2 crispy shredded chicken tacos and 1 chicken enchilada w/red sauce. I added onions to my order and they do charge an extra $1.50 for ALL extra items.
I always enjoy the food here so I was excited to finally sit down and eat. Will DEFINITELY return!

Been there a number of times when it was at its best, not 10.6.2025. Had the big burrito with pork and refried beans. The beans had no flavor and the burrito, the tortilla was hard. May be the last time I am their guest.
