I’m from St. Louis and their classic southern style soul food reminds me of home. Even the ladies that work at the establishment remind me of family. They have the best catfish in Broward . And I would know, as I am from St Louis. Give them a try and don’t forget to get a Carmel pound slice for dessert. I’ve been going here since 2023. I can’t find souls food like this anywhere else in Florida.

What can I say, a true hole in the wall. The kind of place you might want to get a tetanus shot after eating in. The cashier was ok but darn near 50 bucks and all that was edible was the fries. Catfish tasted like it was fresh caught about a year ago. Fried pork chop was edible but not worth 15.00.

The customer service is amazing the owner helps out in the kitchen and the front the environment is nice you can tell they just opened in that location but they’ve been around a while. I can’t believe I found this place! I had the oxtails with rice, mac and cheese, and stewed okra and tomatoes. The oxtails were on the sweeter side which I’m not use to but they were still great! I also had a small chitterlings (yes, you read that right). I saved those until I got home and added vinegar and hot sauce and they SMACKED! And I had a slice of the yellow cake with chocolate icing.

I recommend this soul food spot. Turkey dry. Oxtail are well seasoned and cooked, pork chops cooked to perfection. You have to try the fruit punch and lemonade mixed. It gives auntie cookout vibes.

My family and I had a very negative experience with this restaurant. The management handled money matters in a way that felt extremely unprofessional and left us deeply disappointed. In my search for good home made soul food, I came across My brothers soul food. First of all the aroma of the food hits you as soon as you walk through the doors. At that point I had a feeling that I was at the right spot. Sure enough I was greeted by a gentleman at the register who attentively welcomed us and took our order. We ordered the smothered pork chops, macaroni and cheese, and greens and smothered turkey wings. The food was absolutely delicious and the service is fast and friendly. For desert we had the chocolate cake which was moist and delicious. Overall a great experience and amazing soul food. I will be returning again, no doubt! Give this black owned business a chance, you will definitely not be disappointed. Thanks for the great food and experience today 1/8/22
