Restaurant week made this place an incredible value. Getting such a generous portion of mussels along with a starter and dessert for just 25 dollars per person is a fantastic way to experience the menu. We came in for a reserved lunch and were seated right away, which set a great tone from the start. The service was efficient and the food arrived quickly without feeling rushed. We were given a comfortable booth by the window, and the natural light made the whole meal feel warm and inviting. We tried two mussel options that stood out as something different, the spicy Thai and the Mediterranean. While the gyro meat in the Mediterranean dish was a bit bold for my taste, the depth and richness of the flavors were impressive. The sauce was so good that I found myself wishing for extra bread to soak up every last bit. Overall it was a satisfying and enjoyable experience that felt well worth it.

I went here for dinner with my girlfriend recently. The food here is really good. The crab dip was exceptional and honestly one of the best dips I’ve ever had. It had a very crabby taste and was just what I was hoping for. The oysters were also very good and tasted fresh. The mussels were in contention with the crab dip for the best food item from that night. We had the Thai curry based on the recommendation from our server and it was really good. The fries were cooked well, but I wasn’t a fan of most of the dips that came with it. The creme brûlée was okay.
Service here was quite alright. The host was very friendly and asked us if we were celebrating anything. Overall, I was pleased with the service.
The atmosphere is what brings my rating down. It was very loud here. I could barely hear my server when he was talking to us. Holding conversations was difficult at times. Then there was the live music. What a let down. The music was very muddy and mixed poorly and just brought on a new level of noise. The music selection was good, but I’d prefer not having it at all
Overall I would recommend trying out Mussel Bar if you don’t mind the atmosphere.

We got in early seemed like we had the restaurant to ourselves. Kevin was our waiter and was fantastic, professional, attentive and had great recommendations and could laugh and have some fun with us as we needed something to mop up the sauce on the grilled octopus (which was amazing) and he took care of us with by running to get us some bread. All our meals were outstanding!

Mussel Bar & Grille Arlington is a fantastic spot for great food, drinks, and atmosphere. The mussels are perfectly cooked and come in several flavorful broths — the white wine and garlic is a standout. The truffle fries are crispy and addictive, and the seafood pasta was rich and perfectly balanced. The bar has a great beer selection (especially Belgian options), and the staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The interior has a lively, upscale vibe that works well for both date nights and group dinners. Overall, an excellent dining experience — I’ll definitely be back.

Nice place! The food was pretty good. I am personally not much into seafood but it was good. The fries were sooooo yummy, different from those unseasoned refrigerated fries. Would recommend for special occasions!

Went in on a quiet Sunday afternoon and got the white wine and Thai curry half basket of mussels. Generous portion sizes and the mussel sizes were large and fresh. The sweet potato frites were exceptionally crispy and came with three sauces. The service from our waiter was fantastic (didn’t catch his name; he was bald) as he made sure we were always topped off on drinks and bread with low wait times.

Ready for more! Do not skip the mussels bolognese or the French onion soup unless you like the taste of regret. East coast oysters were great and the bolognese was yummy but not traditional for those seeking Italian not Belgian flair. Octopus appetizer was good but not as good as everything else. Happy Hour from 2-7 was delightful and saved a few bucks. Tremendous service.

Chris, the bartender, was great and made the experience terrific. The mussels were fantastic. Really nice vibe and atmosphere. Chris was a great server and I hope to get him next time. Large menu, plenty of options. Free validated parking in a nearby garage up to 2 hours. Restaurant is in a busy area of Arlington. Happy hour items and prices are decent.

Excellent. Ducked in there to escape the thunderstorms that were rolling through and decided to have dinner early at the bar. That bartender is one cool dude. He called me by name, which few servers I’ve had have ever done. Man, I wasn’t disappointed at all. After a glass of Chardonnay he recommended, I found out they were out of the special soup of the day (shrimp pepperpot). However, I had the best French Onion soup in recent memory instead. He recommended to the linguini bolognese and he sure nailed that, too. Well-cooked, creamy, meat was not too chunky at all. It was delicious. A little bit expensive for one person, but this is Arlington, folks. Nothing is cheap. Will definitely keep my eye on this place when I’m in the area again.

Thinking of some seafood before ending the trip. Not a bad choice from Google search. The mussels were fresh. Well sauce, not too salty and not too plain. The Oysters came with condiments that suited the fresh oysters. Down it all with a smooth beer. Definitely a relaxing way to end the hectic week and trip.
