I do recommend this place. It is kid friendly.A there was a few issues. One was some plates were dirty. I guess that happens sometimes, but you should really make sure everything‘s clean before it comes out second concern. My father-in-law was in a small wheelchair a really small one and still got stuck in the bathroom, so maybe some remodeling needs to be done for handicap people, especially since they have a lot of older people that go there. Last concern, something that can be taken care of. I believe all three could actually be taken care of is one of the employees was in the bathroom. When I was in there I don’t think he seen me and he almost walked out without washing his hands. I did let Management.

The chicken was dry, but that is typical for a buffet. The fish was awesome and the pot roast. Salad bar was good as well. The brownies, kinda dry but the kids said the choc chip cookies were amazing. The service was really good as well and the bathrooms were very clean.

Great place for down-home American food. Almost everything is good, though little is exceptional. The fried fish is my favorite, especially with some tartar sauce and lemon! Salad bar isn’t bad, but the ranch dressing is weak. The fried chicken is excellent, as is the steak if it’s available. The spaghetti, meatloaf, and beef’n noodles were better than expected. And the desserts rock! Other items are fairly mediocre. And the price is high: $15 for lunch and $18 for dinner. But if you’re in the mood for what they offer, it’s better than driving to Kansas City!

I love coming to eat here, a little tradition I do once a year with some friends. The food is delicious and plenty of options, so far, the waitress we had was amazing and tried to keep your drinks filled and your experience good, she tried to be there for all her tables even though the day we went it was many and busy, she did a fabulous job! It’s also a very comfortable atmosphere plenty of space, not to crowded, nice lighting, I haven’t had a complaint so far out of the 4 years iev been. If I lived closer I’d eat more then once a year, but unfortunately i live out of town and get excited to eat here every year.

I agree with another review, this was so much better than Golden Corral. Food was definitely made with love. The salad bar was great, pretty good variety on the food bar. The dessert bar was excellent!The cakes were fresh baked, the best peanut butter cookies, and a pretty good variety of pies. My server was always there, loved her, I wish I had gotten her name, but really everyone there was super friendly and helpful.

We lived in Chillicothe for many years and ate here regularly when it was still a Golden Corral. It still has the same owner, and really nothing has changed except the sign.
We now live a few hours away, but we STILL take an occasional leisure trip to Chilli from time to time just to eat at Murray’s, and usually invite some Chilli friends to join us.
Is everything always perfect? No. Is it better some times than others? Yes. Is it always still good with plenty of options? Yes.
We’ve lived in several different states and ate at many buffets, and Murray’s is still our standard of measure when we get done eating at the other places and say…yeah, it was good, but was it as good as Murray’s?
It is buffet food, not nearly priceless cuisine served in a high-end, empty-your-wallet, type of dining experience, so it should be judged as such.
The staff is always helpful, it’s always clean enough, and the food is always good enough. We’ll be making yet another day trip to Chilli soon to relax and eat here again. Highly recommend. 🙂

My husband and I stumbled upon a blast from the past. A once upon a time Golden Corral frozen in time, when they were great! Murray’s is a picture perfect setting of great service, food, and nostalgia we all yern for. My husband and I first met at a Golden Corral back in 1993 and it was such a treat to relive our moment in history. Thank you Murray for keeping it Classic!

Had a stop while on a trip to find a non fast food restaurant for our family and this place REALLY delivered. Comfy and Cozy atmosphere, amazing cooked food from the fried chicken, hot and Spicy Chicken, beef pot roast, steak and fresh steamed veggies everything was so delicious and flavorful weither you’re a local or a first timer like we we’re this is absolutely the place to go for a quick family meal leaving you stuffed, happy and ready to finish whatever adventure you have planned next!
