From start to end service was horrendous. Me and my girlfriend showed up for our 6:30 reservation at 6:28 was told there was going to be a 20 minute wait…. We sat down in the entrance to wait. I would say 5 other couples of 2 walked in the door spoke to the hostess and were seated right away not sure why me and my girlfriend weren’t seated right away. Then we sat down our server was respectful and nice… got bread and our sides which were delicious. After that it would go all downhill. Me and my girlfriend both did the ribeye and lobster tail. Lobster tail was wayyyy over seasoned and rubbery. The rib eye was completely raw. Had them recook them so they brought out new steaks that were also completely raw and they forgot to bring our lobster tails that we hadn’t finished back out and our new steaks were arguably worse. I voiced my frustration with our server Matthew and he seemed empathetic and embarrassed which made me feel better that they were remorseful for our poor experience. I was highly disappointed when I received our $218 bill for the worse dining experience of my life with no discount or freebies. We will never return again and wouldn’t recommend to anyone else.
There used to be people waiting in the front tables for a seat in the back, the plants were real and very well cared for, the front desk was always manned by a manager and a hostess that met guests and sat them promptly. There were always fresh flowers in the front area, it was clean and tidy.
I was a terrible waitress, I really was, I’ve always had a lot of respect for a great waitress. With that said our waitress was the best part of our visit tonight, she was spot on.
It’s my birthday so I ordered the prime rib, it was just tough, chewy and awful.
The potato was huge and came with a small dollop of sour cream and very dry, no butter I could taste.
The green beans were cold and hidden under the huge potato.
My husband asked for no avocado on his hamburger and sure enough it came with avocado, dry, warm and not good.
I hadn’t been there in years but it’s my birthday at Murphy’s, how bad could it be?
Next time we’ll be going somewhere else, sorry Murphy’s, y’all need a food makeover ☹️

I am very picky about prime rib and want an end cut because of the concentration of seasoning it has the most flavor. I also want it well done and order it that way.
My wife wanted hers med well some pink.
It came with a side and veggie of the day which was green beans. I ordered the prime rib end cut well done no pink and baked potato butter only.
We skipped the salad because we thought two sides and the main would be enough.
We got there at 4:45 for a 5:00 reservation.
We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. wishing us a happy anniversary. The waiter and server were super and said no problem getting the prime rib my way.
The meal came pretty quickly which should have been a signal.
The prime rib was pink and I asked them to cook it more. I should have paid more attention because the normal end cut usually is much darker and the seasoning baked in. This was just slightly darker
They suggest I keep the potato and just took the meat. My wife is not that picky. Both mine and my wife’s prime rib was a good size but I figured for $45 that was reasonable
Looking at was was supposed to be baked potato with butter only it looked more like boiled and was not very good. It certainly did not appear baked.
The house veggie was 5 green bean sticks hardly anything special as proclaimed.
As I waited for my prime rib to return I noticed my wife was picking she said it did not have much flavor and was lacking a prime rib that is best well seasoned and roasted over a long time.
When my prime rib returned it was a little more done on one end but hardly well done. The center was still pink.
While they did ask if it was better at this point I really was no longer hungry and my wife left more than 3/4 and I left even more.
I guess the service good and I was no longer hungry I did not complain but clearly someone leaving that much on their plate was a signal. My wife said for over $120 meal she wanted to take the meat home for our German Shepherds which we did see the photo
I would not recommend Murphy’s.
The Cranberry Whiskey was on a whole different level as well. But what made the night so special aside from the excellent food was our gracious server, Samantha! she was 5 star all the way and really showed her appreciation for a job well done.
We cannot recommend this restaurant enough. GO, you not be disappointed.
