Murphy Pub Sports Bar is a solid choice if you’re looking for a lively place to catch a game and enjoy a drink. The atmosphere is energetic without being overwhelming, and there are plenty of TVs so you won’t miss any action no matter where you’re sitting.
The drink selection is impressive with good beers on tap, and the food was better than I expected for a sports bar — the wings and burgers really hit the spot. Service was friendly and attentive, even during a busy game night.
Only reason it’s not a full 5 stars is the noise level can get a bit high, but honestly, that’s to be expected at a popular pub. Overall, a great place to hang out with friends, grab some good food and drinks, and enjoy the game. Will definitely be back!

I went there for the first time for micro wrestling the place was packed. We had an amazing time. The bartenders were fast friendly and professional very polite. We didn’t have to wait long for our drinks or what we ordered. We had the wings one of the top 10 places to get wings. The crowd was great we had a blast. Plenty of parking no trouble getting in or leaving. Definitely will be going there soon.

Trivia on Wednesdays is great! The staff are welcoming and remember people’s orders even when they have only been there a few times. The food is quite good. I love the Irish “nachos”. The patio is awesome when in season, as always.

It was the first time visiting Shea’s to see the space for our Jack and Jill. I was very impressed with the quality/quantity of food and the outside area is beautiful for a “sports bar”. There’s plenty of parking and the private room will fit our guest count adequately. We can’t wait to celebrate our special occasion and the owner, Jack, is very personable and accommodating.

Murphy’s is a solid sports bar! One of their highlights is their nachos. However, a decent portion of the nachos become impossible to eat due to one misstep in cooking them—the use of wax paper instead of parchment paper. The melting of wax paper makes ingredients stick and therefore baked into the nachos. Parchment paper does not do this, and would make the nachos at Murphy’s 100x more desirable than they already are! Please take this into consideration. Thank you!

I went here to listen to live music with 2 friends who don’t drink alcohol [they purchased soda though]. I however do drink and was getting food as well. I ordered a beverage and an appetizer and dinner. I waited almost an hour for the appetizer and dinner to arrive together. The appetizer was burnt. My dinner American Chop Suey was phenomenal! However the waitress never came back. Like ever! I went and got my own leftover containers of a cart. I went up to the bar and paid cash for a couple of drinks. One time I went up and the waitress was at the bar socializing. She told the bar tender I had a to go order because she saw my leftovers. I told him I’d be happy to have her give me my bill but I hadn’t seen her in and hour and a half!! He graciously took care of me and brought me my drink and bill at the table.

We just had our class reunion at Murphy’s. The experience could not have been ANY better! Jack and Charles were incredible, attending to our group and helping us to have an experience that EVERY person raved about. The food was delicious, the venue was beautiful and the service was top notch! I wish that I knew the names of both servers. They were both excellent, cheerful and worked so hard. Bella was incredible. She made sure that no glass was empty and that each person had exactly what they needed. The other server was also extremely atrentive to our guests. Charles went above and beyond helping us to get a slideshow up on the big screen and Jack had great suggestions that made our reunion a HUGE success. My hat is off to the entire staff. This reunion was amazing and you helped to make many happy memories. We are so grateful!

We don’t really like the indoor bar here, as it’s very dark. However when the outside is open we love to come watch football and/or some live music. The food is good (we’re partial to the steak tip salad) and the people are friendly. It’s a great place to watch the game!

Went back with my girlfriend after Shay’s was bought out. This was the second time we tried Murphy’s in Manchester, CT. Service was better. The food was not great. We had ordered Nacho’s and it was below par. Something tasted wrong. Either way did not eat them. I think they have a ways to go. Right now I would only stop by for a drink.

All of the staff are absolutely amazing! They were so attentive to everyone on the patio and made sure everyone was having a good time. I could go on and on singing both the bartenders praises on how nice they were and how great their service was. They are truly a gem. Not to mention the gentleman who was managing the place , he is an absolute legend. The entire time he was making sure not only the patrons were ok but also the staff. I honestly have no other words to describe how much of a great place it is to sit and have a drink, just based on how genuinely amazing their service staff are and how it’s managed. The drinks are absolutely killer and the food is great.
