My husband and I love coming here for multiple reasons as listed above.
The food is great. It comes out hot (if applicable) and presented nicely. Quality is awesome and the specials are always different.
Service, always on top of our drinks (and I drink water like a fish out of water), kind, and doesn’t hover.
Atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and open.
We love coming here as a date night.

This is an excellent place to eat. I will be going again. My table ordered miso pork soup and habichi chicken. Both meals were well prepared, fresh and delicious. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of dragon rolls and sushi. We went at lunch time and the food arrived quickly. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

I have never had a bad experience here. We live in North Asheville, but we make the trek (which is quite a bit of a pain sometimes because of all the construction on the highway) but it worth it to go here, because the rolls are so creative!
It feels like it’s a step above some of the other offerings in town.
Speaking of offerings, there are items here that are not available in other restaurants. And the presentation… the presentation of some the food is just exquisite.

A picture is certainly worth 1000 words, so please take a look at some of these photos.

Oh, they also have the hot ginger Honey tea, just wonderful on a cold day.

I would agree with some folks that this is the best sushi in town.

This was a great place for my family and I to stop after ice skating. There were lots of things on the menu so we all found things we liked. I personally would suggest the Salmon Tempura Roll – Delicious!

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the food itself was very disappointing. Most of the tuna rolls used mixed tuna instead of solid cuts, and the fish that was supposed to be fresh was sliced extremely thin with very little flavor. The overall taste across multiple dishes was bland and underwhelming.

We also had several service issues during the meal. A soup that was specifically requested without mushrooms arrived with mushrooms in it. Dirty plates were left on the table for too long, food came out slowly, and one of our rolls was forgotten and had to be brought out later.
The only reason this is not a one-star review is because the staff was genuinely kind and polite. Unfortunately, good service cannot make up for poor food quality and kitchen execution.

I used to think that Ichiban had the best sushi in town… this place might eclipse them. I’ve had their Ramen here before and it was great but this sushi though…. GAME CHANGER… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

**Revised to 4 stars. Only due to a $3 charge on a single additional egg and $1.50 for the smallest additional white sauce. I 100% get cost of doing business but this is aggressive.**

I am not sure how this little gem flew under
my radar with ne living nearby, but YES! I was in need of a new hibachi place after the hurricane ruined my previous spot. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The quality of food is top-notch!! Sushi was AMAZING. We will definitely be coming back!

This is by far my favorite sushi place in town!!! Been here twice now and both times everything was phenomenal!!! Romantic place for a date night with amazing food! Went there for my bday and they made this amazing birthday plate for me! They overheard us talking about how I don’t like desserts so they made a savory treat for me.

Our experience was unfortunately marred by the Hibachi chicken dish. The chicken was dry, the rice tasted old, and the overall plate was flavorless. When we brought this to Arif’s attention (our server) he simply gave a surprised look without offering any alternative, which was really disappointing.

That said, the rest of the meal was quite enjoyable. The elegant atmosphere and outstanding environment make Murazaki a great place to dine. The drinks were tasty—my favorite was the Berrynice. We ordered a crab salad appetizer that was fresh and delicious, and the sushi was well-presented with good flavors.

Murazaki has many strengths, but I hope they improve their service response and food consistency to match the otherwise great experience.

I was really disappointed with this meal. The teriyaki chicken was extremely dry and barely tasted like teriyaki at all it was very bland and lacked flavor. The rice didn’t seem fresh and also had no seasoning, which made the whole bento box feel very underwhelming. Even the miso soup wasn’t good, and that’s usually something hard to mess up. I couldn’t even finish the meal because my appetite was completely gone after a few bites. For the price, this felt like a total waste of money.
