what a cool freaking place. these donuts are so fresh and wonderful and tasty. the “dough” part of the donut is fantastic. we tried a gingerbread one today and we loved it! it’s also like going back in time. it feels like you’re in a time capsule.

I just went in for the smells because I can’t eat gluten, but when I bought some gift cards and donuts for others, the service was incredible – so friendly and accommodating since I needed individual bags. Everyone LOVED their donuts. They even offer a punch card for rewards. I’ll be back to treat the people I love.

Donuts used to be amazing but they’ve really started skimping on filling and icing. The Angel Cream and Cream Cheese donuts have one small bite that actually has filling; the rest is bone dry. The filling doesn’t even extend to the center of the donut anymore, it’s genuinely just a small bite at the injection site.
I get it, they keep prices low and it’s hard to maintain a consistent and quality product at their price point. But I would much rather pay $.25-$.50 more for a cream cheese filled donut that is actually filled.

For years this has been my favorite donut shop..However it seems like within the last year the customer service has diminished! The older women in there are very rude! There is no greeting or smile when you walk in anymore. If you ask a question it’s answered with such an annoyance tone. Another major issue is why offer certain flavor donuts on particular days yet NEVER have any? It doesn’t matter what time I come in it’s either sold out or the cooked didn’t feel like making them at the moment.

5 STARS for the outstanding service at Munster Donuts evening! I don’t know the name of the tall gentleman who was working tonight, but he deserves a huge shout-out. I’ve lived in Munster since 1985 and have been disappointed by the lack of care in local businesses lately, but he completely renewed my faith. He was incredibly kind, efficient, and his positive attitude made my day. The donuts were amazing, but the excellent customer service is what will bring me back. Give that guy a bonus!

I’ve eaten donuts far and wide… and Munster donut is hands down my favorite overall donut shop. The chocolate angel is my favorite but everything is fantastic.
Like many great coffee shops… the coffee is meh. But you dont come here for coffee… get your donuts and go… and pick up extra because you are going to wish you had more. some people have been so excited they have tried to park inside the store…. dont do that. just walk swiftly inside….

So spending some time in Munster recently going to the community hospital for a family member. I’ve come to find numerous places that are well worth stopping at. This place is one or two on the list. These freshly made, melt in your mouth donuts cannot be beat. Stopped in on the spur of the moment. Picked up three dozen of the regular size and then oh my goodness the box full of those great big ones. Where I’m from we have a family-owned bakery that makes donuts that have been around them very long time and they are tremendous. These rank right up with those. We will definitely be back. Plus giving a dozen of donuts to the nurses at the hospital is always fun to do.

I waited anxiously all day on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025 to travel over 30 minutes each way for Munster Donuts. A colleague had shared some glazed doughnuts purchased from Munster Doughnuts a couple of months prior and they were AMAZING! I took a picture of the box and was determined to make the trip.My Grandaughter and I was met with extremely dry customer service. The young lady said sorry there’s no glazed doughnuts. I said I’m looking right at glazed doughnuts (through the glass window). The Sales Associate said, it will be a 15 minute wait. I said that’s fine. I’ve come too far, I will wait. I mentioned my wait to the young male associate who then went and checked the status. To my delight the wait was not nearly 15 minutes. I bought 1 dozen and 1/2 doughnuts. They were horrible! I believe I received the trial and error batch! The doughnuts were not sweet and flavorless. My Granddaughter hadn’t finished hers and my husband could not believe these were the same doughnuts as we previously tried from Munster Doughnut. I could have gone to Dunkin Doughnuts for a fraction of the cost and just as tasty! …and that’s not saying much. Needless to say we tossed the remaining doughnuts in the trash I purchased from Munster Doighnut. I will share this experience to all I encounter, and will NEVER patronize that business again. At least the customer service should have been something commendable, and it was not! Thumbs down!!!
