Had an amazing experience at Mulate’s Cajun Restaurant tonight!

Our server, Will, was absolutely fantastic—funny, quirky, charismatic, and incredibly hospitable. He made the whole experience feel welcoming and memorable from the moment we sat down. On top of the great service, the food was delicious and full of authentic Cajun flavor.

Between the lively atmosphere, the great food, and Will’s top-notch service, this place really stood out. We’ll definitely be coming back and making this one of our regular local stopping spots whenever we’re in New Orleans. Highly recommend! ️

Julie at Mulate’s was absolutely wonderful! She gave timely, attentive service and paid great attention to detail. As Floridians, we appreciated how she helped us choose authentic Cajun dishes and even guided my son with his lunch. We’re so happy this was our last meal before heading home — she made it special!

My parents, boyfriend and I stopped by here after our flight into New Orleans. This place was awesome! Our server Lisa was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming. Our food was delicious! I personally recommend the roast potatoes and gravy! If we ever come to New Orleans again we will be sure to stop by here again!

Great food and an even better vibe! The dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and the live music really added a nice touch to the overall experience. It was a bit on the pricey side, but the quality and atmosphere made it worth it. I’d definitely go back for the food and the entertainment!

1st time in NOLA and restaurant was close to hotel. We tried the sampler plate as we wanted to try everything. The food was delicious. Had gator, fish, shrimp frogs legs and the sausage with stuff in it. Great taste, great atmosphere. Live band started as we were leaving just adding to the coolness. Wait staff was fast and efficient.

Mulates never disappoints ❤️ my grandparents took me there when I was 8, now as an adult we go back out of tradition. The menu is a little pricier but the quality and service is so worth it. We’ve never cleared our plate, always have leftovers to take back to the hotel with us. Our waitress was the same this year and last year (she may or may not have recognized me, even after a year, from my grandmother and I frequenting the restaurant so often. It is by far our favorite place to eat!). I highly recommend the Gator bites and Catfish Mulates

Ordered the bbq shrimp & grits, and the shrimp platter. Both were good, the grits were great.

The old fashioned was terrible, perhaps ordering their menu specific version would’ve been better.

Julie was awesome, she was the difference maker. Her authenticity was palpable. I felt like I was a kid at grandma’s house.

Family friendly Cajun restaurant with some fun options like fried frog legs and Gator tail, which were very fresh and crispy. The french muffaletta sandwich was delicious if not exactly authentic to the original. The main area features a large old fashioned wooden dance floor in front of a stage, so I imagine dinners here could be fun and exciting!

Wow, happy accident. This place is right near the convention center and it was raining and we wanted lunch so we went in and where are we happy we did! Such a cool well established place with all kinds of neat art & history! The food is excellent with many creative options on the menu — too many actually to choose from you should stop by — check it out – thank you!
