This casual restaurant serves Chinese staples such as General Tso’s chicken & lo mein plus sushi.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Mulan Bistro in Collierville. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and arrived hot and right on time. We appreciated the halal options, which were prepared with great care and tasted excellent.
The service truly stood out—top notch and always with a smile. The staff was courteous, attentive, and made us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. We were also grateful for the secluded family room, which gave us privacy and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Our kids especially loved the variety of Chinese dishes, and it was great to see them enjoying every bite. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food quality made for a memorable family meal.
The only small suggestion would be to consider using lighter bowls and plates, as the current ones are quite heavy. Other than that, everything was excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Mulan Bistro!

I made several orders of 4 types of food to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. Then at home we group the orders. That was a total success! All the guests ate enough, we repeated and enjoyed this delicious meal a lot. I highly recommend it! It was wonderful! Thank you Mulan for your quality, service and punctuality.

A lot of dishes can be vegan by ordering tofu. They have 3 vegan rolls that are pretty good. My wife and I got the red curry with tofu and eggplant. It was ok. Not a lot of flavor. I got the Szechuan tofu curry. Spicy. Again. Kind of bland taste. The sushi rolls were the best. Cucumber, veggie and avocado. So that kind of tells you how basic and flavorless were the 2 main dishes. Good for vegan options but not very good all around. Tried ordering a boba tea but the server said they only had cow milk so that was a pass. Sad. Boba tea is originally vegan since most Asians are lactose intolerant. Good service. Quick and kind

Overall the food here is ok. They put a watered down super sweet version of eel sauce on almost all the sushi, which ruined the flavor. If we ever order again, I will make sure to ask for no sauce on top. The rest of the food was tasty. Food took over an hour to prepare for pick up which seemed a bit excessive.

This is the best Mulan in Memphis! We saw some extra dishes here! In addition, we really enjoy the decoration!
We ordered two dishes: Hunan bandit duck, and beef brisket with tofu!!
We hope the restaurant can offer the Hunan bandit pork liver 土匪猪肝 in the future! I saw the Hunan bandit chicken and Hunan bandit duck in the menu, while the well-known Hunan bandit pork liver is not included!!
There are two pros in the restaurant: first, rice is included and you can add more if it is not enough! Second, $2 smoothie is offered but it is limited to one serving per table!!
The Hunan bandit duck is not 100% authentic because I did not see the bird eye’s chili and wild chili peppers! But I am satisfied to see that they offer this food due to the small size of the Asian community in Memphis!!
They also have a piano in the restaurant, maybe there are live music shows sometimes !!
We ordered two dishes for two people, we almost finished 90% of the Hunan bandit duck, and we took out the remaining dishes with added rice!!
Definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to try some spicy authentic Chinese food, the last three pages show the authentic spicy Chinese food!!

One of the best Asian restaurants in the Memphis area. We were there for dinner. The server was nice. We started with spicy wings with jalapeño and basil, and some spicy wontons. The wontons were into spicy sauce. The wings are the best – freshly prepared, hot and seasoned well with spices and basil. They were crunchy from the outside and moist from the inside. Moving on, in the main course I got a general Tso with fried rice as side. My friend got a similar platter with chicken. Another friend got a plateful of sushi rolls with some spicy sauce. That was really hot and spicy! Overall, huge portion size, and great taste with fresh ingredient. Highly recommended!!

The waiter who took care of was very helpful. Food was good not great. He brought us the bill and we were waiting for him to collect my card.
Some other waiter collected the bill and added 18% tip without even asking and brought back a new bill said it’s mandatory tip I added pay outside.
That was fine, I am okay to give the tip. When I took that bill to pay at the front desk then again popups to tip again.
When I asked its already added to the bill they said add 0% here. They added a compulsory tip and again wanted me to tip.
Watch out dont fall for this.
Pls don’t use their napkins to wipe your mouth looks like they were never washed.

We normally come here for the tea which is top tier but the food is pretty decent as well! The hibachi rice dishes are a bit different from what we are accustomed to but they are still pretty good! In my last visit I got the basil wings & OMG these wings were the best. Now whenever I get my tea & going to have to order wings to go as well!

I went here thinking that all Mulan Bistro’s are equal and was sadly mistaken. First I was greeted with “Do you have a call in?” I should’ve taken that as my que to go, but no, I needed to be let down even further. I ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken, the lettuce wraps and the crab rangoon. The total was around $36. When I went back in to pick up my food, the lady was on the phone and just handed me the food without a word. Now, if the food were good, I probably wouldn’t have written this review, but here we are. The pineapple fried rice was basically frozen rice thrown around in a skillet with frozen peas carrots and onions, and a few canned pineapple pieces and no chicken in sight. It had that previously frozen aftertaste and it didn’t look fried at all. The crab rangoon was tough and tasted like it was fried earlier in the day and reheated in an air fryer. I can’t say too much about the lettuce wraps except that I had to sprinkle a few pieces on the rice to make it edible. As I type, I’m still trying to get this chalky aftertaste out of my mouth. I’m so disappointed, but I’m even more mad at myself for eating any of it. All I can say is that I was super hungry after the football game and Takis and a mini butterfinger just weren’t going to cut it, so I thought I’d give this place a try. I cannot recommend this place at all.

Cool decor and chill atmosphere. Portion sizes were a little small. Definitely recommend the Shanghai fish and twice cooked pork belly. They have boba options that we didn’t get to try this time. Waiter was super friendly.
