There was no sign or notice anywhere saying that outside food wasn’t allowed. Our youngest (who has texture/swallowing issues) has actually tried the food here before but choked on it, so we simply bring safe, familiar food for him. This has never been a problem in the past, and the restaurant wasn’t even busy; we were one of the only tables there.
The manager said it was a “corporate policy” they’re now enforcing, but there was no compassion or flexibility shown. We understand that restaurants can have rules, but some basic understanding and consistency would have gone a long way.
Policies like this also raise obvious questions: At what age is a child suddenly too old to bring food from home? Would a baby’s bottle or a toddler’s crackers also be banned? A clear, compassionate policy would prevent families from being embarrassed like we were tonight.
It’s worth asking — is it better for a family of five to dine here and pay for three meals, or for that family to leave and never return at all? Sadly, after tonight, we won’t be returning to any Mugshots locations.
Edit: The owner reached out to us to make it right, so we appreciate that!
The burger was huge and so filling which is a good thing I think. The burger bun was sweet and tasted yum. But I didn’t like how the burger tasted. It was so plain with no flavors. I loved the sides though. The onion rings and potato fries was delicious. Fresh grilled vegetables was awesome.
I loved the service there. The servers were very welcoming and friendly. They checked to see if everything was going good several times. The place was spacious and good. It wasn’t that busy when we were there but it looked like it would get busier during evening time. Had a good experience overall.
Cara brought the perfect mix of professionalism and personality. Her playful attitude and fun banter made the whole experience even better without ever feeling forced or over the top. She read the vibe perfectly and made us feel like we were her top priority, even with a full house.
If you’re looking for top-tier service with great energy, ask for Cara. She’s the kind of server who turns a simple meal into a memorable visit! ✨69
