The shop itself is overdue for a deep cleaning. There were crumbs and dust on the couch cushions, the carpet and floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in ages, and there were visible dust balls in the corners. It gave the whole place a neglected vibe.
My biggest concern is basic food safety. I watched the cashier handle money, then immediately start preparing food without washing their hands. My sandwich came with chips, and instead of pouring them out or using a scoop, the cashier reached their bare hand into the bag (the same hand that had just been touching money) and put a handful of broken chips on my plate. Standard food-safety guidelines require handwashing before handling food, ESPECIALLY after handling cash. If staff aren’t going to wear gloves, they need to wash their hands consistently.
Until there are improvements in cleanliness/food-handling practices, go somewhere else. I would recommend trying NB Cafe (which is right across the street) or Wheeling Coffee Shoppe instead.

1st time in. Ordered an iced coffee. Asked if I could get a regular coffee, iced with Carmel flavoring and espresso shot. Barista said sure. My daughter ordered a hot pumpkin flavored something. We got 2 hot coffees. When I told the barista I ordered an iced coffee, I got met with just a stare. Another customer came in, just then, and she turned to help the new customer. So I stood there for a minute. After barista rung up the new person, she came back over and took my hot coffee, and said nothing. I wasn’t sure if she was remaking it or not, so I just stood at the counter. Finally the barista said my iced coffee would be a minute. After finally getting it….nothing special at all. Paid over $10 for 2 coffees, won’t be going back. The atmosphere, however, is awesome. Artwork from local artists and the tin ceilings and looks like original hardwood floors. Very pretty

This is such a cute place. I’ve been adventuring through Wheeling more lately and this is definitely a local gem. If you’re more of a Dunkin drinker I would heavily recommend. Prices are good, it’s right in the middle of town and the coffee isn’t bitter. Tons of decaf options if you’re caffeine sensitive like me & vegan foods

Stopped on our trip from Ohio to Maryland and it was very good! Loved the shop and all the decor. My iced mocha and my mom’s tea were very good as well.

This coffee shop not only has some of the best coffee in town, but also some of the most unique and delicious food in the whole area. Great place to hang out or to bring a group. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful as well.

The drinks and food are delicious! I love that they serve pita chips and hummus with paninis and wraps. I never leave hungry! The atmosphere is calm and creative. The space is great for meeting with someone, working from your laptop, or enjoying a moment to yourself!

I’m from northeast Ohio, literally by the lake and whenever I’m in town I come here no matter what… Great coffee/cold brew. Just tried their Santa Anna bagel breakfast sandwich and it was good I ate it so quick… Will definitely have that sandwich again!!.. super friendly staff and very laid back place… 10/10!!! 5/5!!! All the time. Thanks for an awesome experience
