this burger is no joke. it’s packed with flavor. be careful to choose the size, because the double is really thick, it’s not a bite size, that’s literally two pounds of food.
the patty is pretty thick and cooked well slightly burned and crispy on the outside but still juicy in the middle. topped with chili is a bit messy to eat but I’m not complaining. the portion of the fries is also very big. good for share.
Came for early lunch on a weekend there was no one inside, service was really fast.

Bacon is standard on their burgers. Bacon is in the special sauce. Not much more needs to be said.
The gluten free bun was delicious. The special sauce was wonderful.
If I come back I’m getting twice as much sauce and half as much seasoning in the fries.

I’m always amazed at how good the food is here as I was today years old when I discovered that they make their own fries from 100% potatoes. In a fast food world laced with things no one can pronounce, let alone eat, Mudman is a major step up. Simply amazing food and it’s well worth the hour it takes for me to drive there and home. Everything and I mean everything is top shelf!

During our stay in Columbia Falls, Montana, we have been disappointed in the food and service at most all restaurants in town. Then we came up on Mudman. We were just plain impressed first with the service and then the food. The gentleman at the register named T.J. was amongst the most friendly and helpful restaurant staff we’ve had in a long while. We had a large party of eight and we fired off our orders to him and he got the entire order correct. AND with a smile on his face. We could tell he loves his job (or is really good at faking it). He was training a new employee and as she took the next order, he was patient with her. The food was incredibly delicious and the burgers were huge and juicy (Top 5 anywhere in the U.S.). The fries were also some of the best we’ve had anywhere. The next time we’re up this way we’ll most definitely be visiting Mudman again. A special thanks again to T.J. for his hospitality. (And for the rest of the staff for making amazing food!).

Thomas was an excellent cashier, only minor complaint is when he upsales, I always like to know what is an extra charge. But I didn’t ask. So no actual complaint. Portions were large! Burger was very good, and even cut in half and split for us! Got a huckleberry shake and real huckleberries used based on the fact there were huckleberry pieces in it!

Cannot go wrong! Definitely delicious! Super friendly and fast. We shared a number 1 Double and they split it for us! I couldn’t finish mine. Yummiest secret sauce. Gave us some great local area tips and helped us find the grocery stores. Cute atmosphere with oldies playing lightly in the background. Not too far off route!

This was the only place where we managed to get food without waiting 30 min ++ probably because we came around 4 PM for a late lunch/early dinner.
The fries and buns were great, and the secret sauce was perfect for dipping. The patty was a bit dry and salty, but overall the burger was good. The combo was just $16, which is a solid deal.
They also served a small bowl of chili. it wasn’t warm, but we still ate it.
Unfortunately, we flew home and woke up with stomach issues. We suspect the chili, since it was the only thing we ate that afternoon.
So I’d say, enjoy the burger, but maybe skip the chili.
