My wife had the fish tacos. She lived them. I had the California burrito with chicken. It needed some veggie element inside to cut the overall richness of the dish. All in all, I would recommend this place.

I order from Mucho Loco at least once a month. After my last order was handled I will not be ordering again. I ordered Elote with my order which was missing the seasoning. I also ordered pico de gallo with cheese on top and all I received was a cup of cheese. I called to let the restaurant know and all they did was apologize without fixing the issue. I’m not happy with the results. Unfortunately the food is good when done right. I’ll miss it.

We’ve been to Mucho Loco twice now—once just the two of us and once with another couple—and both visits were fantastic. The service has been outstanding every time, and the food is hands down our favorite among local Mexican restaurants.
The chimichangas with the cheese sauce are incredible, and the fried ice cream is the best I’ve ever had. The margaritas are another highlight—a huge variety of flavors and very reasonably priced.
Amazing food, amazing service, and a great overall experience. We highly recommend Mucho Loco and will definitely keep coming back!

Best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to in years! Food was delicious, server Saul, was top notch. So professional, caring, and attentive above and beyond any server I can remember in the last few years! Atmosphere was cozy, clean, even though pretty busy, it was quiet. We told Saul we need one in the Brainerd Lakes area.

The food came to the table hot. Good flavors, and good portion sizes. Did not bring any home. Would have like to had a straw for the drink, because it was not easy to drink made a mess. Did order a corn cob and did not get it. The waiter gave good ideas for good options. Overall a good experience prices where not horrible. Just hope next time to get all items ordered.

My husband and I had lunch here for our Anniversary. We both ordered the Carnitas dinner. The food was fast, hot, and tasty. The waiter was very attentive and I had the most beautiful and refreshing cucumber jalapeño margariita. It was a fun time!

We moved here from Houston, Texas, one of the biggest food cities in the country. I’ve been eating Mexican food from Spanish speaking only taco trucks and Tex-Mex restaurants for 40 years. I come from a place where we have 4 or 5 Tex-Mex restaurants within a mile of our house.
The first time we walked in was dinner rush. Loud music, servers yelling across the place to each other in Spanish, we could hear the kitchen laughing and having a good time. It felt like home!
This place isn’t just “good for Elk River”, and it’s not just “good for Minnesota”, it’s GOOD. If you plopped this place down in the middle of Houston it would compete! I dream about these chips and salsa. The tamales are legit. The chicken soup tastes like my friends moms used to make growing up.
These lunch portions are HUGE! 2 adults and a kid with a la carte sides and still came in under $35?! I just left and I’m already looking forward to going back.

Leaving a 2 star for the cleanliness. While the food was good and server was decent, the bathroom was run down, broken stall and VERY dirty. We used to come here and stopped 2 years ago due to the lack of cleanliness, unfortunately coming back can see little to no improvement has been made. Honestly if the bathrooms were inspected it would probably be a health violation. Wanna love the place due to the convenience and being the only Mexican restaurant in the area but do the the dirtiness will continue to make a further drive to another spot that values this.
