Knight’s Steakhouse & Grill is a proud family-owned and operated business. Our story began in 1952 when Ray Knight opened Knight’s Market after returning from his service in the Korean War. In 1984, he launched the first Knight’s restaurant in Ann Arbor. We’re thrilled to be part of the Jackson community—a place that held a special spot in Ray’s heart, especially for its golf courses. Knight’s in Jackson brings the same sizzling quality, warm atmosphere, and unbeatable value that our guests have come to expect. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a juicy steak, fresh seafood, and a variety of other delicious menu items. We’re known for pouring a strong drink, serving ice-cold beer, and offering a carefully curated wine selection.
Old-school outfit serving a variety of steaks, seafood & burgers in a comfy setting with a full bar.

Reviews
The steak arrived medium rare as requested, with a good sear, but it was dry throughout—no juices were released when cut, and none pooled on the plate. The texture was chewy and tough, requiring effort to eat despite the correct doneness. Upon reviewing the photo I took, the marbling is minimal and uneven—only scattered flecks rather than the fine, even distribution advertised.
The accompanying sautéed mushrooms tasted canned and appeared unnaturally uniform and plump, without the shrinkage or browning typical of fresh mushrooms properly sautéed. The baked potato and asparagus were great.
The most disappointing aspect was the menu’s claim of “fine marbling” for rich flavor, which did not match what was served. For this price, the steak fell well short of expectations in quality and execution. I would not return or recommend this dish.
Food portion vs price is very satisfactory. However dietary restrictions are difficult to follow because not clearly stated. If you request to consider allergy precautions, that will be considered. Classic food item, not many variation to try on. Not halal certified.
Service is average
Atmosphere is the main point for this place. Wonderful atmosphere and spacious indoor for family dinner.
Once seated, it took roughly 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and another 10 minutes just to receive a beer. While the food came out fairly quickly, no silverware was provided, which required yet another 10-minute wait.
Unfortunately, my steak was served rare when I had ordered it medium. No waitstaff checked on us after the food was delivered, and it was unclear who our actual server was, as different people came to the table each time. The portion sizes were also quite small.
We asked to speak with a manager, but were told there was no manager on duty. On a positive note, the drinks were good, and the bartender was kind enough to comp our entire bill, which we appreciated.
Given the many positive reviews this place has, I’m hoping this was simply an off night.
However, when we did get our food, it was way overdone and tasteless. I ordered a Medium-well and it was brought a crispy well done. Also, the price that was printed on the menu was different than the price we got on the bill. The menu listed the burgers at $16 each and the bill charged us for $18.50 each. We didn’t feel like arguing so just paid the bill and left.
The atmosphere is nice, but the food did not taste good and to then be charged more than what was listed left an overall bad taste in our mouth 🙁
Our server was Dayna. She was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. Our every need was met with a smile. Great friends & Great food!!!!
We will be back!!!
