We went there for brunch on valentines day , it was easy to find and parking wasn’t bad. We sat inside since it was a little cold outside . Our orders came about 10 minutes after we ordered, so did my wife’s drink, she had a pink cocktail ( vence el amor ) it tasted good, I had a tamarind soda. When it comes to the food it tasted very good and homemade. My wife had enfrijoladas con chorizo and I had plantains with Arrachera mixta pollo y carne. It tasted great and both were really filling. I was surprised at the way they cut the plantains, it was unique and very good too. My plate came with some beans and tortillas , i had a hard time finishing the whole thing ! It was a lot !!!! We also took a tres leche to go. It was delicious! Overall we enjoyed our food, we would recommend them to have more artwork on the walls or drawings because the white paint is highlighting the fingerprints and stains .

The service was great, but honestly the food is mids and overpriced. We got the street corn and birria tacos – tacos were unfortunately dry and lacking in flavor. For 6 dollars a taco I expected more. Chips and corn were good but nothing insane. I feel like everything needed a little more salt. Thankfully our server was kind enough to take half off of our bill.

This restaurant serves the delicate and exquisite intricacies of the Mexican culinary experience. Don’t expect to come here feeling heavy after a meal, it is about the taste and explosion of flavor. It is now the best Mexican restaurant in DC, in my book. Not only is it a great dining experience in a beautifully intimate space but they go above and beyond with social activism. It is a true gem. The staff goes above and beyond.

Something that was not pictured was that we had an exquisite picture of the spicy margarita. A great mixologist got me a good buzz.

I am a big fan from my first experience and am delighted to be going back as much as possible. As a Mexican living in DC, this has been the saving grace. I often feel that the Mexican food is not good enough in DC and this restaurant proves me wrong.

Holy crap the sopecitas were good! I’d never had cactus before and I certainly wasn’t disappointed.

Very pleasant atmosphere for quiet conversation too.

Incredible food, very creative modern Mexican. We came for brunch and had their flautas, breakfast burrito with chorizo and egg, and the enfrijolados and everything was epic. Even our daughter’s bean and cheese burrito was the most gourmet version of a kids burrito I’ve ever had. Cocktails were ok. Only real downside is it’s a small spot so even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 20 mins for our table. Service was fine after that.

We had a very good brunch here on a rainy day. The Jewish tostadas was so good. The other favorite was the short rib birria. It was a chili chocolate rubbed short rib. My husband liked his fish Milanesa torts. We also had quesabirria. The strawberry and burrata at $17 was good but a bit pricy. The Harry’s strawberry sold me. The burrata was not as flavorful as some others. The Aqua Fresca at $5 was an ok value considering the ice amount but it was delicious. Overall, we were all happy an I have already made my reservation for the next brunch.

Visited for the first time. Can’t say enough great things about this place! Service was patient explaining the foods I didn’t know. The tacos were perfect, like food you would dream of. I wished I could stay longer, but I was on my lunch break. Stop by sometime!

Ordered off the brunch menu for a late lunch and loved it (although soda is way overpriced). Very Oaxacan inspired Mexican cuisine. The Oaxacan cheese in the quesadilla was delicious, as were the braised carnitas tacos that you build yourself with a large and flavorful helping of pork and warm masa tortillas.

There’s a little outdoor seating area in front that was lovely on a nice day.
