I had heard that Muchachos Tacos was good, but you have to take local recommendations with a grain of salt. Located in the heart of Wallace, you wouldn’t expect this level of culinary excellence, friendly ambience and authentic regional charm in a restaurant that serves tacos in Idaho. What a pleasant surprise! This is no ordinary taqueria. The menu boasts a wide selection of creative choices for tacos, burritos or bowls with your choice of pork, beef, chicken, mariscos and even vegetarian. Each is prepared differently than you’re probably used to. It’s all incredibly delicious and the presentation is outstanding. The carnitas (or al pastor) was probably the best I’ve ever tasted. That’s a bold claim, considering my Southern California upbringing. The portions here are generous and prices are fair, especially on Taco Tuesday when you can get three delicious “street tacos” (your choice) for just five bucks. The chips & queso appetizer is good – don’t skip it. The fountain drinks are mixed perfectly. That’s rare! Service is prompt and friendly and it’s obvious the owner here cares very much that the customers are satisfied. This place rates a solid 5 stars and is now THE place I will stop at when I’m in Wallace.

This was genuinely the greatest restaurant experience ever. The waitress, Shawny, was amazingly sweet. She did everything in her power to make my family feel welcome in an adult space. We were here for a work party for my husband’s work and it was incredible. Even though there was 28 of us she did everything in her power to make each and every one of us feel welcome and cared for. She is so caring and sweet, truly an amazing worker. The food was great too. I will be back!!

Traveling through the states, we came across this beautiful town serving the tastiest tacos and altered their menu to make the best vegan tacos! The chef came out and worked with us to put these super yummy tacos together, complete with hearts of palm salsa, pineapple, mango salsa, guacamole and more!! To top it off our waiter, Brandon was phenomenal!! He made our experience so interesting and fun!! Thanks for such a great experience ❤️

First time customer. I asked for steak street tacos and the server told me they dont make steak street tacos just regular tacos.
Here are my complaints:
1. If this is a regular taco, what size are their street tacos because this IS street taco size.
2. No lime, that’s mandatory imo.
3. The taco says it comes with horseradish but you can say not to add that.
4. There is no second tortilla like there usually is, with these kinds of tacos.
5. And those tiny white specs are the cheese.

We heard from friends that this place was a good choice and since we hadn’t been here before and we decided to go on a Tuesday. We arrived at noon, they had just opened at 11:30. Taco Tuesday special was 3 street tacos for $5. I wanted to try one of each of the meat fillings but they were out of the shredded beef….so, just tried the pork, chicken and ground beef tacos. They all tasted the same and were very salty….I don’t think we’ll be choosing to eat here again. We drove about an hour to get here and it was not a good experience.

I did not eat here but took a peek at people’s food. It looked decent but the prices seemed too high for Mexican food. Hence the minus one star rating. I’m sure it was probably good food because people looked happy.
