Had Garnachas and Pepián de Gallina
Food was great, some of the seasoning was a little off on the Pepián (too much black pepper) but overall very true to traditional Guatemalan food. They also have a small shop where you can get a few Guatemalan goods.

A 10/10 experience! It was my very first time coming to this restaurant and let me tell you, it was really nice. The overall atmosphere, the scenery, the customer service, and just the food too was amazing! If you have never tried Guatemalan food, I’d highly recommend coming here as they have a lot of different popular guatemalan dishes. Once you open their menu, it has a fun fact about out guatemalan culture! Parking can be a bit tricky depending on when you go but overall there were no complaints on anything whatsoever. *plus if you are there for celebrating a birthday, definitely make sure to record the birthday person haha. Can’t wait here to come again someday!

Mucha! Was perhaps the most pleasant Guatemalan restaurant experience we’ve had. Period. We’ve gone to others but they clearly stood out in the kindness and professionalism of its staff, the ambiance, cleanliness and above all, the quality of the food. They have live music on weekends and the prices were reasonable for superb quality meals. Definitely going back since yesterday was our first visit.

I have been going to Guatemalan restaurant all over LA and OC. This place is so far the most clearest place I have been. like my rating say, atmosphere is great, service better but the food is good. The horchata is very delicious. I think they roast some seeds which make taste even better.

Just happened to find this restaurant is newly opened a few months. They have pupusas i wanted to try out.
The restaurant is nice, the staff are nice and friendly.
They have a good menu for breakfast plate and appetizers too. I will have to come back to try other items which look so good.
I ordered 2 pupusas(queso/chicharon and queso/lorocco) and a chicken tamale. Since this is a Guatemalan restaurant the recipe is slightly different than Peruvian which I love as well.
All the dishes were made very well. The cocinera did a great job with the pupusas, melts in my mouth. Not like other ones I’ve tried that are hard on the outside. Also my friend loved the freshly made tortillas. The pina Agua fresca was good.
I will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

An amazing Guatemalan food experience at MUCHA COMIDA CHAPINA!

We tried two plates of Shuco Mucha and paired them with Cabro beer — and wow, everything was absolutely delicious. The Shuco was packed with flavor, perfectly grilled, and just the right balance of smoky and savory. Every bite felt like a taste of home!

The Cabro beer was ice-cold and paired perfectly with the food — bold, crisp, and refreshing. It really brought the whole meal together.

The vibe of the place was warm and full of energy, with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. You can tell they care about what they do.

Highly recommend MUCHA COMIDA CHAPINA if you want authentic flavor, good vibes, and an unforgettable meal. Can’t wait to come back!
