Blown away!! Heard about this place from a friend who always knows the best and most authentic restaurants. This one is from Shandong which is known for their seafood amongst other things. Everything was perfectly balanced. We got razor clams, fish dumplings, tofu, pig trotters, pumpkin, and more. Also price was very reasonable. Can’t wait to go back!

Some food was just taste-less, and some was not bad.
We ordered the Fried Fish with sweet & sour sauce. It was bad. Somehow, it had a bitter taste and kinda fishie [we’re not gonna order this again]
Sea Cucumber Fish Maw Soup was no taste at all,

My friend recommended this place to me, having visited it 6 times in half a year! It’s really hard to find such a great seafood restaurant in the middle of New Jersey, where dining options are quite limited. I was surprised to find a place like this here, as it feels like the quality belongs somewhere in Manhattan. If this restaurant were in the city, it could easily rival Michelin-starred restaurants!

No joke, we ordered some of the most common dishes, but the quality was outstanding. When my cousin and I arrived, we couldn’t believe the prices—only $16 for fresh seafood! I initially thought that price was just for a small portion, so we ended up ordering a lot of food, and the total was just $120!

Fish Dumplings
Who would have thought you could find such authentic fish dumplings in the U.S.? The fish filling is bouncy and fresh. It’s delicious even without dipping it in vinegar.

Lamb Soup
Honestly, this is the best lamb soup I’ve ever had in the U.S. It has a distinct lamb flavor but isn’t overwhelming. It’s just fresh and light, not too strong. The first time we had it, the two of us finished a whole big bowl along with a plate of spicy crayfish

Steamed Egg with Clams
No one can resist the soft, fresh taste of steamed egg. With the clams and a special soy sauce, the flavor is refreshing and pairs perfectly with golden pancakes. It’s a must-try!

Stir-fried Shrimp with Soy Sauce and Chili
This is my absolute favorite! It’s made with soy sauce, onions, and dried chili, and the aroma from the stir-fry is incredible. The highlight is the fresh taste of the shrimp. Unfortunately, this dish is out of season right now, so it’s not available.

Salted Egg Yolk Prawns
A must-order dish! The prawn meat is so fresh, tender, and juicy. The prawns are lightly fried, stuffed with salted egg yolk, and the outside is crispy. The aroma is irresistible!

Black Fish in Iron Pot / Fish with Golden Pancakes
Fish is usually seasonal, but this place deep-fries the fish and then braises it in a rich sauce, which is just perfect. The golden pancakes are fried crispy on the outside but remain soft on the inside, perfect for soaking up the sauce.

Stir-fried Cabbage with Shrimp
This is a highly recommended dish by my cousin. Nearly every table orders this. The fresh shrimp and cabbage are stir-fried to perfection with a fragrant oil. I once packed this dish for a colleague from Qingdao, and she raved about it all the way home!

Honestly, I would take an Uber to come here 6 times in half a month—this place is truly a hidden gem!

It seems like this place has changed chefs, because the food quality has gone way down.

The ingredients aren’t fresh, and the seafood has a noticeable foul smell.

Also, be careful with the bill—they seem to tamper with it, as the prices don’t match the menu.

First time picking up food from this place. Order on the phone for the a pick up. Bill came to over $70. I order 2 won tong soups ,sesame chicken scallion pancakes and lamb ribs since they don’t do spare ribs. I asked to see the bill and learned that they gave me $20 worth of soup. The ribs were $30. I asked for extra mustard ,they said they don’t have it .
I asked if they packed souse for the pancakes they did’t have it. The gave me some vinegar in a little jar that was uneatable.
The sesame chicken was smothered with souse and no sesame seeds and overcooked .The $30 were covered completely with dry rub and huge amount of red paper.I couldn’t have second bite because it was so spicy.
Threw away everything in the garbage.
The soup was good but enough for a week. I did’t want that much of it. Would not recommend this place

Be patient and prepare for waiting for order and waiting for dishes (because there is only one server……), then all is good!! Can’t complain everything else, the seafood is so fresh and umami, seasoning is perfect, and lots of variety, and… very cheap (comparing to other seafood restaurants)!!! Will definitely come back and just choose a time with fewer people.

I’ve been this restaurant several times. My family and I really liked the seafood there. The fried shrimp is my nephew’s favorite. The fish ball soup is my favorite. My sister likes the jellyfish. We have tried quite a lot of dishes there. My suggestion is to stick to the seafood. I’m not saying other dishes are not good. Just not as good as their seafood dishes.

An unorthodox meal; entrees were served first. The shrimp and cabbage was cold and tasteless; the # of small shrimp was infinitesimal, and were mostly shrimp heads! The chicken dish was mediocre and fatty. The scallion pancakes were also mediocre. The hot and sour soup was served last and was truly an abomination; one spoonful sufficed; it was totally inedible!
You people who highly praised this place have NO tastebuds.
Do yourself a favor and go to Bill and Harry’s on Rt10 in East Hanover for a delicious and enjoyable meal, including the hot and sour soup with accompanying Chinese noodles and sauces.

It was a pleasant surprise to find a new restaurant open at this location.

Thought it was pretty good, prices were reasonable and portion is so big we end up brought most of the dishes home.

Quite a few new dishes, they feature Quinta 青島 style dishes. Very different and quite delicious.

This area has been missing a good Chinese restaurant for
a long time. Wishing them continue to serve great authentic Chinese cuisine in the years to come.

The prices on the bill were higher than what was shown on the menu. The main menu and the simplified menu were already different, and neither of them matched the final price I was charged. When I pointed it out, the owner admitted the prices hadn’t been updated — and even acknowledged that I wasn’t the first customer to bring this up. It’s unclear why they still haven’t corrected it. It almost feels like they’re intentionally using the lower menu prices to attract orders, then charging more at checkout.

This lack of transparency feels dishonest and sneaky. I don’t feel comfortable eating food made by a business that operates this way, and I would not recommend this place. The owner offered to refund the difference via Zelle, but actually they never followed up. I chose not to chase them for it, since the money itself wasn’t the issue, but the way they handled it was disappointing.
