Took my Mom here for a very special Birthday celebration….the service nearly spoiled her very special day! We been here numerous times in the past with the great food and service outcomes; however, after this last experience I am certain we will never return again! The food was good, but the service was nonfunctional and severely poor! Orders not placed; which resulted with 2 of the 6 of our party getting their meals nearly after the other 4 were nearly finished! I do not expect perfection, but when you pay 28 dollars for an entree it makes it enjoyable to at least eat it all together. When the other orders were finally put in- when they came out it still was not correct! We made the best time of it as we could, but still was extremely disappointing!!! Poor service and poor table-side manors by their employees greatly reflect negatively on a diner’s experience.

So much food, and its delicious! Little unsure of how it would be due to their old building, but inside is very nice and clean. The people working there are very welcoming! – more welcoming than the other Japanese restaurants around town. I will definitely return.

Stood at door for 10min before even, being acknowledged. Got sat at a table and another 10min before drink orders were taken… There was entertainment while waiting though. Got to hear what’s is and what is not two guys working behind the bars jobs, before one of them said, “I will be in the break room when ya need me again”… Well I would like a drink refill and maybe to order….
We got to order and my wife’s sushi came out about 10sec before our appetizer. 15min later my Hibachi stuff came out and the service became much better for the rest of the meal.
I was only going to give this place one star, but much to my wife’s and my surprise the food was awesome! So I guess if ya don’t mind pathetic service to get some decent food Mt Fuji is for you!

Me and my family took my father out for his birthday this evening. To start with my dad had to tell the bartender how to make a simple drink called royal flush. Then we sat down at the grill the waiter was obviously stoned out of his mind. I could let that all go until the cook comes out and the first thing I notice is the squirt bottle of eggs that had been sitting out for god knows how long was the first thing he put on the grill. After that it’s a little unclear what went on because once he put the veggies on the grill we were engulfed in smoke. The rice had been sitting out for quite a while because even after cooking and seasoning it it was crunchy like it had been set in a bowl over night. The next catastrophe was my wife’s chicken which was cooked for a total of 2 mins and set on her plate raw. Then the “chef” takes an order of onions and on the way to the plate drops half of it on the table and proceeds to take his spatula and scrap the droppings back onto the grill, heat them for about 2 seconds and puts them in the plate like nothing happened. Next up is the steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare (warm pink center) he browned it and put it on my plate again raw when I pointed this out the waiter took my plate and slapped it back on the grill and I asked for him to cook a new one so as to not dry the steak out. He said next time I order a steak medium rare I should tell the cook the make it more on the medium side. At this point is where I decided to not eat anything on my plate and payed the bill and left. I will never recommend this horrible place to anyone DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Food was wonderful as always, the service was as bad as the food was good! Our little blonde waitress was apparently new, very inexperienced, extremely dismissive, and even avoided our table after we pointed out that an order was wrong that came out late. Half of our table didn’t receive their food until 15 minutes after the rest of us were served! Give that child some more training please!!!!!!

A little overpriced for hibachi, in my opinion. You can go to a buffet place where they make hibachi to order, for half the price. Also, they did not have a kid’s menu (who doesn’t have that these days???). My daughter is picky so I asked if they would cut a full size portion of something she liked in half and they said no but she could order something off the appetizer menu. Really lady? Get it together Mt. Fuji or we won’t be back!

Great sushi for a low price. They make big, flavorful rolls for about $6 each, and they’re great. Decor is solid though nothing special, but with sushi this good, that doesn’t matter.

Japanese food has been a favorite of mine for many, many years. This is the very best I have found since being in North Carolina.
The food was excellent, the service was even better.
The prices are very reasonable.

Food was good but silverware was dirty we ended eating off of plastic silverware. The real thing that sucks it that they spent so much on the decor and dont put on a show while cooking any more.

I really like this place, the Hibatchi is great! Can’t speak for the rest of the menu but if this place was in Raleigh I would much rather go here than Kanki. Great steaks, even better portions, cheap drinks, love it!!
