My 1st visit ever. Loved this home cooked fried chicken, you can immediately feel the love of every employee has for what they do, and what they do is to take care of you. A Texas boy just passing through while working. If it was up to me, I’ll pass though once a week. Now Quit reading and set your GPS and go get some….!!!!!

The food was really good. Enjoyed the taste of the catfish was exceptionally good overall and an enjoyable experience. The main thing that caught my eye was one of the cashiers, the one on that particular day was very cute. I didn’t catch her name but she was blonde and lets just say wow she was cute. Would love to know her name if anyone could get back to me.

We walked in and were greeted with smiles. The young lady that took our order was so sweet and very knowledgeable. It was my first time ever visiting. My friends who come often took me here for lunch. The service was quick and food was delicious. I would recommend to anyone who wants a meat and 3.

Stopped in tonight for the first time. We will definitely be back. We ordered the tenders, one “tootin” and one plain and between us, 6 of the 7 sides on the menu. All was very good. The price is a little higher than the “meat and 3” down the road, but quality exceeded price for sure. And ms. Emmett is extremely personable, chatted with us for 10-15 minutes and shared the restaurant’s story. Way to go lady! Proud of you! We will definitely be back and recommend everyone else beats us there. Thank you again and we will see you soon.

Food is always hot and fresh!! Service is great. There is a wait when you order because everything is cooked to order. Prices are well worth it!! So glad we finally have a great chicken place in Portland!! Keep it up guys!!

Got catfish, livers & chicken tenders 12/27/2018. People were very nice & friendly on phone & when I went to pick up my order at 2:00. I checked my order before leaving and told them my livers looked a bit over cooked. He broke one apart with his gauze wrapped hand, then gave it back, saying that’s how they’re suppose to look. Whatever, they were over cooked but had a decent, but dry flavor. The chicken tenders were more like pieces or nuggets. It had a decent flavor, but dry and over cooked. The catfish was very good, but wasn’t hot or spicy at all, like I ordered it. We got 5 pcs of tenders, about 8-10 livers and 4 catfish filet for $25. It was alright but nothing great. If your looking for HOT, I love heat, but was disappointed. May try it again, not sure.

Yass!!! Finally, Portland TN open a chicken restaurant!. If your ever in the area, stop by and try the best chicken that Portland TN has to offer. I promise it is worth the drive. I loved it so much that my second visit, I ordered every single flavor they had in the menu. Super super good. My wife and I moved to Portland in August. I have been looking for good catfish but, couldn’t find it.We went to Ms Emmett’s tonight for the first time and I am hooked! It was the best catfish that I’ve had in over 25 years.And on top of the great food, the staff were friendly the prices are great and really cared that we picked Ms.Emmett’s.We live 2 miles away.so Ms.Emmett’s will be seeing us again real soon!
