Mrs Rice beats Yoshinoya or any other teriyaki place any day. First the owners and staff here are extremely attentive and prepare each order personally to ensure the food is fresh. The bowls and plates are very filling as compared to what you’d find elsewhere as they give a heaping serving of proteins and rice. They also do wraps for those who prefer tortilla wrapped over teriyaki. I got the #7 which is chicken and steak plus veggies: so good! Drinks are available both as fountain drinks as well as bottled depending on preferences. One reason to keep coming back is that this restaurant is clean and you’re supporting a local small business. Parking is available in the lot shared with other business and there’s seating available inside too.

Recently went here and ordered a regular chicken bowl with rice and vegies, no sauce. It was extremely delicious, well seasoned. Would recommend, they take long with the order either, probably like 5 minutes. Great food and atmosphere.

Grabbed a number 7. Chicken and beef plates with rice and Steamed veggies. Pretty good meat! Would definitely come here again in a pinch. Located in the coroner of the strip mall. Plenty parking.

My family used to go there for like 30 years. However, they start increasing the prices of everything and they change the containers to smaller ones. They have the old ones in the wall (which are big and meaning more food) but when they give your food they have new smaller containers( meaning less food) and everything for the same price as the old ones. Really sad they just lie about their products. This not worth it anymore, they don’t know who buys them or the area they are to be raising their prices like that. They will lose customers (well at least they lose one).

Interesting place, kinda like an Asian fast food place where you can get a wrap that looks like a burrito but has rice, vegetable and chicken in it. Very odd but it works for a quick and reasonably inexpensive meal.

The Baja Wrap is easily one of the best meals I’ve had. This place is a secret gem in Chula Vista that’s worth a trip. The hot sauce is perfect and goes perfectly with this wrap and other menu items. The owner is super sweet. It’s very reasonably priced. What more can you ask for? 5 stars without question.

Been coming to mrs rices since 1993 same great taste, best teriyaki chicken you’ll ever have. I usually get the large teriyaki chicken and pork platter and I also recommend the Baja chicken wrap. Great hole in the wall place when you’re in the South Bay.
