Stopped in Mrs Pumpkins to see what goodies they had. Lots of items to choose from along with cold foods to eat later and they even do wedding cakes! Got the key lime pie, cheesecake brownie, and some white chocolate dipped oreos. All were good with the key lime tart being my favorite. Prices were very reasonable.

Had been buying Moravion Love Feast Buns from another bakery in town for years, but for the last few years they tasted like they had been frozen after baking and thawed out the day they were placed out on display for sale. A friend recommended Mrs Pumpkins bakery to us. Went to the store and bought a dozen of their buns, it was unreal how much the difference was in the taste and freshness over the other bakery. Wish I had bought a couple more dozen of them but if I had I would not have an excuse to go back for more and try some of their family size frozen entrees. If you want fresh baked Love Feast Buns this is the only place I have found to get them.

I bought a couple of Mrs Pumkins Moravian Chicken Pies and was shocked. It’s like soup in a pie crust. The chicken is cut so fine you cannot even taste it and the pie is nothing but liquid. I’ve grown up in the Moravian church all my life and I’ve never had anything that was as nasty as this pie. It has no resemblance to a true Moravian chicken pie. Save your money because they are expensive for some crust and water

I have been going to Mrs. Pumpkin’s for lunch for the past year since I started working right up the road from them. Time and time again my coworkers and I have brought to their attention that their sandwiches and wraps are always lacking meat- we have been told that we just need to order extra meat on our orders and pay an extra charge. This time, I ordered the Italian wrap the way it comes. I paid $9.50 for my lunch. The wrap was really skimpy, as you can see from the picture below. It hardly had anything on it. I e-mailed them about it on 10/24/2018 to bring it to their attention. I never received an e-mail back. Today, 11/5/2018 I called to speak to someone about it. I was essentially blown off. I was told that she was not able to load the picture at the time but that they have a standard of how much meat they should put on a sandwich… (something along the lines of two slices of each meat for an Italian.) I told her that was obviously not what happened that day for me and she continued to blow me off that I was wrong. She finally mustered up the “I apologize” AFTER she told me I just needed to order the extra meat and pay for the up-charge. I wasn’t looking for free lunch, I wasn’t looking for a reimbursement, but what I WAS looking for is maybe an apology that it happened and that they would try to look into my complaint and see if they can resolve it in anyway. I mean, come on, they didn’t even respond to my email! You can look for yourself and see how skimpy this wrap was. Pretty disappointed that their customer service is sub par. I (and my coworkers) have ordered a lot from them and am not sure I will be returning.

We love Mrs. Pumpkin’s chicken pies! This quaint store is easy to miss along busy Reynolda Rd. See the pics but it basically sits in a tiny strip mall directly beside and slightly behind the Sherwin Williams store. They have great desserts too but I didn’t purchase any today.
