We had lunch at Mrs. K’s on a rainy weekend for some comfort food. We had the Fried Whiting and Fried Pork Chops with Sweet Potatoes, Mashed Potatoes, Mac and Cheese and Coleslaw. The portions were huge for $15-18 entrees (two pork chops, five large strips of fish). The food was tasty and wasn’t oily or greasy at all. The coleslaw was fresh and crisp, and the masked potatoes and Mac and cheese were rich and tasty. The sweet potatoes were a bit too sweet for my liking and the chocolate Oreo cake was mediocre at best, tasting like gelatin and chocolate flavor with a sprinkling of Oreo topping. Service was a bit slow since there was only one server for the whole place, but she was very pleasant. A great place for some comfort food, nothing fancy but excellent value.

The food is always good but the service leaves a lot to be desired which over shadows the good food. This particular waitress (who never identifies herself) is borderline rude. Her entire demeanor is off putting and it keeps me from going there more often.

Been hearing about this place for years and finally stopped by before work! They did not disappoint. Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich huge and the serving size of the pancakes and bacon were enough for two. Oh and all of it was delicious!

Needed to catch up with a friend and we chose here for breakfast. Arrived 10am and was no more than 2 other people in the dining area. William got our drink orders and checked up on us periodically. The food was good. I wish I was hungrier cause the menu had some great choices. I ordered the silver dollar and corn beef hash, friend ordered Strawberry pancakes, over easy eggs and bacon. The portions were great size for the prize, I mean look at the picture of bacon. Would definitely tell you to order from here.

1st timer…. My home girl referred me…. Catfish, eggs and homefries… The food was perfect and nicely seasoned. Not to salty!! I got it to-go but crushed it in the parking lot! Not a big fan of tarter sauce but theirs had a great taste to it! I’ll be back!

Invited to breakfast to try something new. We enjoyed a delicious brunch/breakfast experience, which included a Ruben, french fries, French toast, scrambled eggs, turkey, bacon, orange juice, and the best water I’ve ever had. The portions were big enough for us to share everything And take home. Self seating, outstanding service (our server had on a facemask, hairnet and gloves). The door kept opening from people coming to sit in the dining room, or pick up orders, so I figured we were in good hands. Depending on what part of the city you’re in it’s about an hour drive but it’s definitely worth it.
When you pull up, don’t be thrown off by the hole-in-the-wall appearance. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh. Next time I think I’ll add the pancakes and corned beef hash.
