Stopped in after a long ride. The good reviews about this place didn’t lie. It’s a cozy diner with clever decor. Bathrooms were clean and the food was even better! They make their own fry sauce and ranch. 10 stars for the fry sauce!! Everything was freshly made and tasted better then I could make at home. If you’re traveling, this is a great spot.

Really cute roadside diner, the giant EAT sign is a treasure and really reminds me of the Lo-Gas on the 15 near Baker CA. People who work there are also extremely friendly. Will definitely come again!

Wanted In N Out but there was a 1 hr wait, and so very glad we chose here! HUGE selection of food and flavors (unlike In n Out which only has burgers…boring). Great helpful no-nonsense service. Cute quaint atmosphere and decor.

Hungry and stuck on I-5? Craving a quick, satisfying bite with nowhere in sight?
Make a stop at Mrs. Bessley’s for some classic comfort food done right.

You’ll find friendly staff, homemade strawberry lemonade, fresh iced tea, and their signature fry sauce that hits the spot. They even have gluten-free options!

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming—absolutely worth pulling over for. Plus, there’s plenty of parking.

I went for the famous cheeseburger, and it did not disappoint.

So go check it out, enjoy the good eats, and be sure to tell Mrs. Bessley I sent you!

Very good little burger joint. The menu is fairly simple but the food is really good. My go-to is a bacon and Bleu cheese burger. Hand mixed shakes, with lots of flavors to choose from, mix and match flavors to your hearts content.

I don’t personally care for the fries here, but the fried mushrooms are

There is a drive thru, however I recommend only using that if you’re picking up an order you called in ahead of time.

They also ~usually~ have a few flavors of Bundaberg fruit sodas, which I appreciate.

They have pretty good food and theyre right off the exit. Pretty small burger joint. Decent prices. They are a great little small community burger spot. They are even very helpful to the people during hard times. I was less impressed with their burgers than I was hopingfor is the only reason I give 3 stars

BE WARNED: This establishment is quite spendy $$$$. You’ll need to bring your “fat wallet” because Mrs. Beesley’s has quite steep prices. If the food was flavorful and the portion sizes decent , it might justify the higher- than- average prices, but that’s definitely not the case here…. It’s a mystery to us how Mrs. Beesley garners so many positive reviews. Seriously. We ordered the egg salad sandwich, fried mushrooms, onion rings, a regular cheeseburger and small shake. Came to over $40!! Here’s the rub: the onion rings and mushrooms were teeny tiny portions. My dining partner and I simultaneously commented, “where’s the rest of this order”?? The fried mushrooms were small ( several , very small )and only 8 in total. For almost $7.00, that’s outrageous. Little to no seasoning or salt. Same goes for the onion rings. Very thin slices of onion dredged in batter. For almost $6.00, it worked out to be about $ 1.00 for each small piece. The egg salad sandwich was the biggest disappointment. A very thin layer of egg salad was spread on school lunch-type white bread. I get the prices of eggs have gone up but I doubt the amount of egg salad on the sandwich equaled more than one hard-boiled egg and a dollop of mayonnaise. No kidding! AND, it has got to be the blandish version of egg salad we’ve ever eaten. Yes, really. ( My dining partner only ended up eating half the sandwich -it was that bad). The cheeseburger was pretty basic but no seasoning/salt, so not much flavor. The hamburger was thin and dry and there was little to no dressing on the bun. The best part of the meal was the milkshake. I’d give this place a hard pass.

Wow…. this is the epitome of a road trip stop! What a cute place. Clean bathrooms, nice people. Corn dog fried right! Lol The prices were a bit high but maybe bc I’m used to Texas prices but they have a hodge podge of different trinkets, souvenirs and merch. All overpriced in my opinion but fun to check out. You can also find a bookshelf of old romance novels by the counter and DVDs for the road as well! Glad we stopped and definitely glad to see a place like this is still around!
