We did not have the food at MRB, but it does look and smells good. As a bar it is very good and a nice place to have a drink. The pours are generous and the prices are reasonable. A pool table is available if you like along with several bar games. This is a cool bar that New Orleans is so famous for. Definitely worth a visit.

Hubby and I decided to eat here for dinner on a Sat evening. The bar is very clean. The courtyard area is nice. All of the workers were friendly. The food came out pretty quickly. The cheese steak Philly, crawfish mac, greens, and potato salad were the bomb. The gumbo was ok…not bad not great. The oysters were a Lil overcooked and there wasn’t all that juicy goodness left in the shell there generally is that you can sop up with the bread, but we did sop up the cheese from the macaroni with it lol the hurricane I got was delicious as well. Maybe just a tad pricey for some of the food. I’d definitely go back again especially for that potato salad and the greens.

As a Quarter Rat, this is hands-down my favorite spot in the Quarter. The food at MRB is so much better than you’d likely expect — everywhere Sells oysters, but MRB has more variety than any spot in the area by FAR. Lobster mac n’ cheese, ostrich chili, crispy gator sando, hell even their wedge salad is stellar. Nevermind the 100+ beer list, tons of chalkboard specials, and their famous(and delicious) green drank. Try a chilled pickle shot with a Pimms Cup! The staff is out-of-this-world amazing, easy to get on a first-name basis with, you just wouldn’t expect this caliber from what seems on the surface as just a sports bar. We often grab a booth and play the games they have there, we bring everyone who visits us to MRB, and without fail, that’s where they always want to go back to on return visits. Eat here. Drink here. Have FUN here. And tip the staff because they make this place a must-hit in the Quarter!!

Been coming to New Orleans for 20 years and this dive bar, if you want to call it that, was probably in the top five meals I have eaten in this city. I had the char-broiled oysters and the Crawfish Mac and cheese. Excellent!!

Another spot you will find more locals than tourists. The oyster man is back 7 days a week instead of only Mondays. And oysters you can get !!! 12 oysters for under $20- where else can you get that. The beer selection is vast ( big local section, IPA, Sours, etc) and they also feature live jazz most nights. The staff is jot just friendly but funny. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Stopped in here after walking around the French Market and it was perfect for grabbing a drink and sharing some great food. Wife and I were looking for a place to try some crawfish and MRB did not disappoint! Admittedly, we had to first Google how to eat a crawfish but once we learned to twist, suck, and pull, we demolished the tray like pros (we were a mess – but we got there). We also had an order of their oysters, which were amazing as well. We ended up coming back a couple more times for drinks and snacks during our week stay in NOLA. The chill, divey vibe was a nice change of pace and we always had a great time.

Loved the food and the atmosphere. We have been twice and this was the 1st time we tried their food. We like to find the local places and this place did not disappoint. We had the gumbo, Collard greens and Crawfish Mac and Cheese. I will 100% be coming back for the collard greens and Crawfish Mac and Cheese. They were probably the best I’ve ever had. Drinks were cold and tasty. Highly recommend this place. But beware, it is 21 and up only.

The crawfish Mac and cheese was yummy and had tiny pieces of crawfish on top. And i wish i ordered the raw oysters because the Luciano oysters was overwhelmed by the tomato and cheese, it was a lot greasier than expected. The MRB oysters were good but heavy. I would try this place again.
