My mom and I are visiting Madisonville for the weekend and we stopped by to eat after our drive up. We were greeted warmly by staff, the food smelled great and the beer was cold. We sat and ate and the food tasted really great. It was a wonderful experience and I enjoyed it very much.

Where to start…
Bathrooms are clean. Dining area looked clean and kept up with. Hubs and I were one of 4 customers when we arrived. So not busy at all. Food was probably the reason they were slow. Refried beans had a really weird taste, couldn’t eat them. Queso was good. Rice was just ok. We ordered fajitas (mixed) steak wasnt really tender, onions and peppers barely cooked, hubs said chicken was OK (I didnt like it) in total there was about 5 strips of each beef/chicken fajitas and a ton of onion ( the whole plate) Waitress literally only visited our table 3 times, to take drink order, bring drinks and take food order and once more to bring food. Never checked again.

An amazing experience at Mr. Taco!
We were served by Abraham, who was incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely conversational, the kind of person who makes you feel at home right away. The service was fast, the atmosphere was lively yet cozy, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
From the first bite to the last, everything tasted authentic and made with care. Abraham went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable. You can tell he truly enjoys what he does.

There were a few pros and cons to this restaurant. The cons were it took me to the old location not the updated address to the new one (I found it accidentally when I looked for another Mexican restaurant to go to). The food was ok… More like TexMex to me, it did the job. The pros were many, was given not only chips and salsa but also queso and bean dip before our food arrived! The staff checked on us often and refilled drinks without asking. Overall a good restaurant, I would come again.

Got the quesabirria, they were so delicious! Some of the best I’ve had. Also got the crawfish, they were really great, especially for it being later in season. The service was excellent! Will definitely be back!

I work here locally in madisonville. So I eat here often, less and less lately as their food quality has steadily been worse since Jan 25. I used to come here weekly, now only one every 2-3 months to see if there still a quality drop.

We came in for a quick bite in the middle of our 5-hour drive, and needless to say it was very quick! I started off with two sides of salsa, one for each of us. A free queso for the table was included. We had the lunch special prices for the plates, got three chicken street tacos and tacos al carbon. Portions are very large and filling. One side of sour cream was HUGE and they didn’t charge for it!!! The ladies were real quick with the service and quick to bring the check as we had a whole trip ahead of us

We ordered a large takeout tonight. We were missing a complete dinner along with different single items in 2 of our other meals. I called the place and they did give us the money back on the one item that was completely missing however 2 out of our other items were missing a piece of the meal. The food was not impressive tonight at all. The tacos were mush and the cheese puff was terrible. We had pleasant experiences before with this place but this one really left a bad taste in our mouth. $120 for food and the food we got was nowhere near worth it.
