Last night, a group of eight of us enjoyed the great food and warm hospitality of Lumi Zi. I really liked the Dover Sole. Make sure you order the Fried Calamari appetizer. It might be the most flavorful you’ve ever had. Compliments to the chef! The staff was very friendly and attentive, but not overly so. Everybody enjoyed their entrees and desserts. Owner Antonio stopped by a couple of times, once with the chef David. I’m really looking forward to returning to this cozy Bedminster gem.

Excellent dining experience!!! I’ve been to this building in many of it’s former incarnations, and, to date, this is by far the best one. Ate dinner w friend a few nights ago, and the food was delectable. The choices were mouth-watering and hard to pick just a few. The food was super fresh, a few items made table-side before our eyes. Excellent service, beautiful decor, wonderful ambiance, great music in the background. BYOB. Hopefully, this will be the last and long-standing incarnation, as it is noteworthy. You can have a nice quiet/intimate meal with a friend, a romantic partner, a business partner, solo. Excellent attention to detail. Am going again next week!!

Wanted a special evening for my wife’s birthday, and Lumi Zi was perfect! Chosen because of the generally good reviews here, we could not have been more pleased. Tony was a gracious and attentive host – since I couldn’t choose between the sesame crusted tuna or the swordfish specials, I simply left it up to him (the tuna was #1 sushi grade and wonderful, as was the stuffed shrimp). We shared zabaglione over strawberries, prepared at table-side by Tony.
Dinner was leisurely on a quiet Thursday eve, probably around 2 hours. A lovely, romantic evening, and a definite place to revisit on another significant occasion.
