I had a fantastic experience at Mr. Submarine in Oak Forest yesterday! I ordered two Mr. Sub sandwiches, a turkey sub, and garlic fries—and everything was absolutely delicious. The sandwiches were fresh, generously filled, and packed with flavor, while the garlic fries were crispy and tasty. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the entire visit was smooth and enjoyable. It’s clear this location takes pride in both their food and service. I’ll definitely be coming back soon

Said the sandwich I wanted twice at the drive through, only to come to the window and they had rung up two. The guy adjusted the order, and when he handed me the receipt, had rung up the incorrect sandwich. The quality of the food was fine, but when you spend $15 for a regular sandwich, small fry and a drink, and NO ONE else is in line, it should be correct.

Usually when you order onion rings or mushrooms you get a nice amount, here they are actually counted. I was going to order mushrooms but changed my mind to onion rings, it said 14 for 6.99 and they shorted me 2. I ordered a gyro and the Pita felt like it had been warmed up and left out because someone must have changed their mind, when I walked in and ordered the same thing, served it to me. It was so hard and rubbery and the worst part was that it seems they count the meat they give you. A total of 9 slices of meat. They make all the other Mr. Submarines look real bad, I 100% will never walk in or recommend this one. They should close down!

Well I just left mr.submarine trying to buy two sandwiches and fries for $34.67. So I give the young lady $35 which was a 20, 10, and 5. She come back to the window after about 5 minutes requesting another 5dollar bill. My response was for what? She replied it’s wrong……. All because it was throwback money from the bank. So I requested for all of my money back and pulled off. Was it the color of my skin for them questioning the authenticy of my money??? Owner had the audacity to post a comment 9 hours ago saying that they don’t take fake money… If he doesn’t know the difference between real money and fake money then he shouldn’t be running a business. How could my money be fake when I just got it from the bank teller?????? I guess the bank is passing out fake money.? SMH. I guess he’s not use to money from the 1990’$ …. I went right up the street and spent the same real money in Midlothian submarine restaurant. It’s funny how I had no problems there and the food was delicious. This was my first time trying Mr.submarine at this location and will be the last time. The micro size drive thru was a red flag along with the owner standing in front of the restaurant smoking a stanky cigarette. Good luck with your Mr. Sub. Definitely not the owners from the past. I drove by several times before I did finally give them a try. Just to be insulted about a five dollar bill.

This place used to be great, but the meat is super processed, and they charge a $1 for every extra. Had I known the pickle would be cut in chunks and would be an entire dollar extra, I would’ve just purchased the whole pickle. Added banana peppers $1. And I’m not a cheap person but I do better going to Jersey Mike’s and getting my money’s worth. Same price in the end

We got 2 pizza puffs which were delicious. We also ordered a gryo plate the meat taste like it was there for days and tomatoes was spoiled. Definitely not okay . Also the guy we ordered from seemed upset with the cook. Which maybe why we got a great pizza puff but nasty gyro. Also they didn’t have ice for the drink which we didn’t mind. But idk not a great first experience here.
