Mr Q Restaurant in Atascadero, California. We are in the heart of downtown Atascadero which is located between the Central Coast Beaches and Paso Robles Wine Country. Our gastronomic specialty is creating dishes with concept that combines, flavors, ingredients, techniques and merging them with modern recipes to create unique and different flavors giving them a twist with our Latin Cuisine flavor. We believe in high quality service everyday for a high quality enjoyable dinner experience! Our restaurant is the best in our area for dates with family and friends, small parties, date nights, birthday dinners and more. We offer seasonal outdoor dining on our patio overlooking Sunken Gardens Park.

Ximena was amazing! Would be back for her service. The pistachio crusted salmon was good, more pistachios though. The chicken piccata was gone in minutes (one of my children’s favorites) and I would come back again next we’re in SLO. Cute decor. No wait on a Thursday at 6 which was so nice.

Our family LOVES Mr. Q’s! Food is unreal. I have never had a meal come close to them ever in my life. We ordered Christmas Eve Takeout this year (eating while we write the review) and our steak was perfectly medium rare, our enchiladas were delicious, the ceviche was fresh and yummy, wings crispy, the entire meal fantastic. And service is ALWAYS amazing!! Big fans!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Jalapeño poppers. Only thing I’d recommend to bring to the menu would be a natural hibiscus tea and horchata. Other than those drink options missing, it was delicious!

I have been to this establishment three times in six months. I am a creature of habit, so, it is difficult for me to change my orders over time after being very happy the initial visit. I am also a retired professional chef and line cook with more than thirty years in the industry. My palate and sinus are very keen to flavor and quality. Each time, I have ordered the same meal: the Wedge salad and the Blue Label salmon. They complement each other beautifully. The tangy dressing of the Wedge dances intimately with the delicate saltiness of the fresh bacon upon romaine. It pops with brightness and flavor that is, simply, tear-jerking, to me. I recommend to save a few bites for when the salmon arrives. Pan-seared to marvelous perfection, slightly crispy bottom with fork-tender top, citrus toppings, fresh watercress, and just a splendid presentation. I felt like a winner just for eating my meal. They serve a side salad with the salmon, so, I always notice when the server takes a very slight double take when they ask which side. “A side salad, of course” (Far better than a bread or starch. Save the smaller salad to cleanse the palette. Such is older tradition. Thank me later). I also had the jalapeño margherita with tahini seasoning. Um… yeah… PERFECT addition to my choice in fusion. Combine the amazingly delightful food with the remarkably attentive service from servers and staff, Oscar,(owner and operator) keep this level of service and presentation up, and not only will you have a foodie customer for life, the referrals will come asunder. Such a wonderful gem in Atascadero, California! Thank you!

What a gem in beautiful Downtown Atascadero. The food was delicious.
The poblano soup was creamy and incredible. The spice of the Poblano was balanced perfectly with the cream sauce.
My Chimichuri Steak (New York) was ordered Medium and cooked perfectly. The Chimichuri was a perfect accent.
It was served with potatoes blended with chorizo that was a 10 all by itself!
Fresh mixed vegetables were very nice.
Our party had 2 of the 5 different stuffed peppers. THE SAUCES ARE SOMETHING TO TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT!
One person also had a Pork chop that he devoured. He loves pork chops and was enamored with this one.
It is situated in the beautiful La Plaza , across from the Sunken Garden Park in Atascadero.
This is a perfect Date Night Restaurant. In addition to our group of friends, we saw a couple of other groups, enjoying great food and conversation.

We all had enchiladas and were VERY impressed with everything!
Very attentive service, side salad beautifully done, and incredible rice and bean side dish with entree.
Tasty jalapeño margarita, about 11$ each.
I am excited to go back and try more of their menu, the creamy jalapeño sauce and guajillo (spelling?) were both very tasty.
This place is a treasure and a treat, do yourself a favor and try!
