I’ll start by saying that I’m not Peruvian, I’m Mexican AND this place is sooo good. I really like the lomo saltado. The chicken is also really tasty. I forgot to take a picture of the lomo before I started eating it. Great food, great service.

If you’re looking for authentic Peruvian flavors without the fuss, Mr. Pollo in West Covina is a hidden gem. Their rotisserie chicken is incredibly flavorful—juicy on the inside with perfectly seasoned skin. The ambiance is laid-back and comfortable, making it a great spot for a casual lunch or a family dinner. It’s a solid, no-frills local favorite that consistently delivers great food.

We ordered two lomo saltados ($17.49 each) for pick-up. We called in our order and it was ready in 15 minutes. The parking lot isn’t too big but there was several open spaces to park in front of Mr. Pollo. Each order comes with two sauce cups, so we got 2 green sauces and 2 red sauces. The rice was garlic infused, so that in itself was already delicious. Meat in the lomo saltado was tender.
We weren’t sure until we went to pick up our order and saw that they use actual plates and not disposable items for those dining in. Our next trip will be to dine indoors.

Good place to grab some fast Peruvian food. The rotisserie chicken is good and flavorful. Fries are good. The place is nice and neat. It can get packed, and sitting is first come. Parking as well can sometime become a hassle. It gets packed during lunch time as well. But the food is good, the ambiance as well. Great customer service, very helpful staff. Stop by and try some good Peruvian food.

Love his hidden gem! Been coming here for about a decade, it’s been a while since I’ve been back, glad to see they made it through the pandemic. They get quite busy during weekday lunch rush and even on the weekends. It’s a very small restaurant so, order in advance or expect a wait and hopefully you get a table but the food have always been consistent thats why we love coming here. The only difference I noticed was the lack of salsas, we use to be able to bring the bottle to the table but now I believe they limit to 2 salsa’s per order. Our Favorite things to order

This is a wonderful place for Peruvian food. Their rotisserie chicken is delicious; even moreso when you add their yummy green spicy sauce! The rice is seasoned well and pairs nicely with their meats. Their Lomo Saltado is on point. But my absolute favorite there is the Tallarin Verde. It’s normally served with chicken, but I love mine with the steak!!

Good, legit Peruvian food. Would definitely come back.
Update, I ordered this chicken for my babyshower and not one piece was left over. So I came in today to have some. Let me tell you, first of all I dont know what sorcery this is, the chicken is full of flavor, all of it. Not just the outside. The mashed potatoes are REAL potatoes. Amd the beans taste good and NOT like pollo loco or your mom’s, its good but different good. I also want to mention that even though they got a fire going and the chickens roasting in the restaurant. It is fresh in there. Not hot at all. All the plates look good and i’ll be going back soon for that Lomo Saltiado.

Delicious food, large portions, friendly staff.
Eating in is possible but can be kind of tight, with the large portions and tight inside, I’ll probably get takeout next time but the food was very good and the sauces are all amazing (though the red one is very hot!)
