There wasn’t barely any seating but the man was so nice and brought out tables in the back for us to sit without kids. We were in town for a concert and already ordered the food and was just gonna stand at the table. The service experience was great! The food was delicious and great amount for the price 🙂

They do a good job whenever I come in person. But wheneve I ordered doordash or Uber they cut corners. I ordered extra hot sauce and white sauce and I didn’t get any extra hot sauce or white sauce in the bag. They didnt give me the hummus I ordered. I called them they said we just put it on top the hot sauce and white sauce. Im like everytime I came in person they always ask how much I want on top and charge extra for the cups. They never charge me extra for putting it on top. Always order in person.

I always order through doordash, and in Schenectady NY its hard to get consistent quality like that. Its always bare minimum warm, often hot and fresh. Its always the sane as last time, the consistency is fantastic. Thanks guys!

I first tried the combo over rice and it was awesome. Tasty and a good portion. The carrot cheesecake was so good. Next I tried just the chicken over rice and again was very pleased with the taste and portion.
Today I ordered the fish and chips. I’m going to go with this is not an item that is in their wheelhouse. I don’t know what kind of fish it was but it didn’t taste like any fish I have ever eaten. It was cut up like fish nuggets/strips(?). The fries however were good.
I will stick to ordering what I know is their speciality and that is the over rice dishes.

Mr. Halal is a perfect place to get halal food. The food was amazing and the price was very reasonable for the amount of food you’re getting. I ordered a chicken over rice with chickpeas onions, lettuce tomatoes, and the works. All the toppings that you add to your food are free. You’re just paying a flat rate for what you’re getting, and the food is more than enough for two people. Not to mention, the white sauce and spicy sauce were actually spicy, and it was rich and creamy. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and even my mother would be happy. The rice was delicious it was Fluffy, not dry fresh and very aromatic. This may be the top three best Halal dishes I’ve gotten in Schenectady New York. The menu is very limited, which allows him to focus on mastering the few items that they’re producing.
The only downside is that the location is not easily accessible if you’re trying to find parking. It’s a Jason to the movie theater and across from the bus stop, but navigating through there can be difficult on your first try. You have to park away and walk there, but it’s worth it.
They are open every day from 10am to 3am. That’s basically being open 24/7 in my eyes.

If I could give this place a zero star I would. First time having it was last night, it was ordered to us at work. I think the food was quite tasty. But after less than half an hour, my stomach was rumbling and I feel nauseous ( it never happened to me). I thought I could make it home but I was so uncomfortable and sick, I throw up a bunch times on the way home. Stayed up all night even after my stomach was empty, now it’s 16 hours later, I have a fever and my limbs are numb. I was perfectly healthy before having their food. What’s in your food? What are you actually serving?? Worst experience ever.

Absolutely delicious food, never tried halal food before now I’m addicted lol , very friendly staff amazing atmosphere in the heart ❤️ of Schenectady s downtown area, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone having a late night craving attack YOU CANT MISS!!!

Can’t swear on here but imagine this said with alot!!! Food was horrible! Fish and chips NOT a filet..its small piece, tons of spongy breading with Hardly any fish inside..also ordered pita with hummus, lettuce tomato, and onion..got a plain pita..DONT RECCOMEND
