Gather is a bar and restaurant located in Rocky River, OH. Offering a curated selection of wines, classic cocktails, local beers as well as delicious non-alcoholic beverages in an upscale, and approachable space. Gather’s menu has been thoughtfully designed by Executive Chef Matt Barnes and the Gather team. Open six days per week for dinner. Reservations are recommended during the weekend. Happy Hour Monday – Thursday from 4:00-5:30 pm. Street parking available. We also share the parking lot with Lake Road Market. Located between Lake Road Market and Danny Boy’s Pizza.

Gather FOOD + DRINK has a nice patio and good food — we tried the arancini and sushi tots, both tasty. However, the drinks weren’t good, and even though the food was nice, it didn’t really match the price. We spent about $50 for two appetizers and two drinks during happy hour. Overall, it’s okay to try once, but I probably wouldn’t come back.

Wow!! This place is beyond amazing from the drinks to the food to the dessert every part was delicious. The service was top notch, never had to wait for a refill. If you haven’t tried this little slice of heaven you definitely need to. Best espresso martini ever and just check out the picture of the desserts!!!! I definitely can’t wait to go back.

Gather is a breath of fresh air! In a sea of restaurants this one sticks out. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of great places in Rocky River but this one felt new & fresh. The food was mouthwatering! We very much enjoyed some new flavors. We started with the Roasted Artichokes, light, creamy and satisfying. The bone in strip steak was served au poivre with fantastic value cheese mashed potatoes. Halibut was expertly cooked and served with a corn risotto and a silky tomato butter sauce. We finished with a seasonal peach cobbler that we did not want to end!

I had been to Gather in the summer, but not with my husband. I took him this week and we had a fantastic time. Meg, our server, was lovely: pleasant, efficient and cheerful. The food was great. We both had the ruby trout special for mains, I had the mussels special for an appetizer and my husband had a ceasar salad. We couldn’t choose for dessert, so we had two: red velvet cake and HoHo cake. They were both super good. This will now go on our regular restaurant rotation.

Gather instantly won us over, exceeding the high expectations we brought from Chicago. Our group each ordered something different on the menu to share and try, and every single dish was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the care that goes into each plate.
What makes Gather extra special are Matt and Julie, the owners. They not only designed the space themselves (and it’s gorgeous!), but they also bring such warmth and thoughtfulness to everything they do. They make you feel right at home while creating a place you genuinely want to keep coming back to.

Excellent food and drinks with eclectic options and creative flavor combinations. The sushi tots and bread service were phenomenal. I really enjoyed the smash burger. I would highly recommend getting a meal here and look forward to going back again.

I was really excited to try this place based on the menu & reviews. I checked the menu online ahead of time and had my heart set on the Smashburger. Unfortunately, when I arrived, they had updated their menu and were only offering a limited version, so the item I specifically came for wasn’t available. That was definitely disappointing.
I ended up ordering one of the fish dishes, and it just wasn’t a great experience. The bartender handled it and brought me a salad.
In general, the prices were very high for what we received. Between the limited menu and the quality of the food, it just didn’t feel worth it. I really wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.

We’ve been to Gather several times and have always had a fantastic experience. The food and drinks are consistently excellent—our favorites are the sushi tots and the Black Forest Old Fashioned.
We’ve brought first-time friends here on multiple occasions, and they’ve all loved it too.
Last night stood out in particular. I messed up our reservation through Google Maps (the confirmation button is buried at the bottom of the page—definitely not user-friendly, Google!). When we arrived with our party of 4, there was no record of the reservation.
Instead of turning us away or giving us a long wait during a packed peak dinner hour, the staff at Gather jumped in and worked together to get us seated anyway. They handled the situation so graciously and made sure my mistake didn’t ruin the evening.
Huge thank you to the team for going above and beyond—we had another amazing dinner because of their kindness and hustle. Highly recommend!

Nice place to hang outside and have some food and drinks. The food was amazing! The chef is really good at what he is doing! The drinks were on point as well. Excellent customer service! The host and the server were super nice and hardworking! We will definitely be back!

Arriving to a full house, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Julie, who suggested we enjoy a drink at the bar while we waited. This turned out to be a delightful introduction to a hidden gem: Lion’s Share gin. As a gin enthusiast, I was thrilled to discover this locally crafted spirit, and Julie’s background story only enhanced the experience. It was, simply put, delicious!
When we finally settled in for dinner, we both opted for the smash burger. Flavorful, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The accompanying fries were equally impressive, boasting a satisfying crispness and great seasoning.
Beyond the exceptional food and drink, the service was truly spectacular. The cozy, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. It’s rare to find a restaurant that nails both the food and the ambiance, but this place does it effortlessly. We will absolutely be back!
