Food is very good but honestly I’ve never have a great customer service experience there. The employees/managers always kind of seem like they’d rather be elsewhere. I’ve been there two times about an hour or two hours before closing and they were already mopping and sweeping up around the table I was seated at… I worked at a restaurant myself and it was a big no no to start cleaning the dining room before actual closing time. But like I said the food is good but I feel like the staff could use a pick me up. 🙂

I really hate to see the mixed reviews for Mr. G’s Pizza. This is the first time we have eaten at this location, but we have eaten at the location in Tuscaloosa a lot and we have not been disappointed at either. The one thing I always think about when going to Mr. G’s is I will not leave hungry. The portions are definitely on the larger side. I ordered the 1/2 Dozen Wings with Buffalo Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce. This dipping sauce is honey mustard and is definitely not even close to anything Buffalo. It was a decent dipping sauce but I am not much of a honey mustard kind of guy. The wings were good with the skin fried crispy making it crunchy when eaten instead of the soft stretchy skin. I will say that the Lasagna is my go to and it has never ever failed me and make sure to order the bread with it because it is worth it.

We got the large deluxe, it was delicious and more than enough for 2 to 3 people. Large seating area and seems to have a steady flow of dine in and takeouts. The facilities them self could use updating. Probably would do the takeout option next time.

Received an order that fell through my brown paper bag after I picked it up out of the plastic bag. I was accused of dropping the meal after explaining to three different workers what transpired. Initially, they did not want to offer a new meal. The manager called the owner, and it was resolved. However, the second meal was ill-prepared with a small amount of meat, sauce, and cheese. I also returned the food and bags to ensure the workers could see the condition of the paper bag. The dish cost $15. This is not good customer service. I was afraid to eat the second dish due to the appearance of it. This could have been a teachable moment for staff. I have spent a lot of money with this restaurant, but I am greatly reconsidering that in the future.

I’m a little aggravated at myself because I wanted to save half of my lasagna.
I discovered this place not too long ago last time I was here and had the baked ziti and it was delicious today.
I tried the lasagna oh my God so good.
So I had a word with management and had to ask a few questions: they do make their own sauces here spaghetti sauce and marinara sauce to their barbecue sauce so basically it’s all from scratch down to the ranch dressing. And that also includes the meat that they use in the baked Zita and the meat that is in the lasagna, and their barbecue, it’s cooked right here.
The staff is always friendly the place is always clean and the food has always been delicious this is a must place to eat. As you know us truck drivers always looking for a good place to eat.
Parking at the Walmart, just a short walk across the grass to the back of Mr G’s and if grass is what then just walk along the edge of the road around by Murphy’s gas station, just be mindful and respectful when parking there.

Ordered a simple salad with grilled chicken and oven baked chicken. They are each priced differently when ordering chicken online using their website. When I inquired about the chicken on my salad I was given a brush off answer saying that the chicken is the same. *Then why is it priced differently?! I left and called the store to speak to a manager and was told that the manager wasn’t in the store. I left my number to be called back when manager got in and nobody called 30mins before closing. I called again and spoke with a woman saying she was the manager and was told that I wasn’t lied to and that I was given double of one type of chicken. And was also told that the prices were the same. Instead of understanding where I was coming from as the customer, she’s talking over me and defending poor service. I don’t want a refund, I don’t want store credit, I want better customer service. But no worries. I won’t be spending my money at Mr. G’s in the future.

So, as the fiance and I travel we always try to choose something that is local and that we have never had. Today we chose Mr. G’s, and boy am I glad we did! The food was absolutely amazing! I got the fish and it was cooked perfectly. There little bread loaves are so cute and delicious! The hushpuppies were huge and very tasty. They had homemade ranch which is always a plus for me! There were plenty of seats, and the staff was super friendly. The bathrooms weren’t the most appealing, but didn’t make me feel like I needed a tetanus shot after using them. Lol thanks for the amazing food, we will be back!

I always stop here at least once while in Demopolis. The lasagna and deluxe pizza are very good. The “small” pizza is about the diameter of a store-bought frozen pizza, but with more toppings and much better flavor.

I stopped here after driving 2 1/2 hours. I got the lunch special which was spaghetti with meat sauce, a green salad, and garlic bread for only $9! It was all good. The spaghetti sauce was very flavorful and the portion large. Great deal and very good service. Place was nice and clean.

Over the years I’ve spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on meals and always enjoyed good food and pretty good service. But not anymore. Went in last night at 830(sign says they close at 930) with a group of 9. 6 adults and 3 hungry kids. Waited at the counter for service while they were talking to their boyfriend or whoever at the drive thru window only to be ignored. Then another customer walked in the door only to watch them immediately take the order and when we questioned if we were going to be waited on was told “the dining area is closed”. 1 hour before the sign showed closing and have other customers sitting down enjoying their meal. Employees were rude and it was without question that we knew why we weren’t being waited on. Left there and settled for Jacks and a little league baseball coach told me they just had the same thing happen to them. It was 14 customers. In total they missed out on 22 customers within about 20 minutes. Not because the customer didn’t want to enjoy a good meal but simply because the employees refused to wait on what she called “our people”. I really hope the owner reads this review and decides to turn that place around. 4 years ago I would have given this place 5 stars but it has steadily declined and the absence of cars in the parking lot or empty tables prove it.
