My sister & I stopped for lunch .. had the seafood chowder & decided to return that evening for supper. It’s a small place & reservations are needed – especially on Sunday. We made a reservation for 5:30pm & good thing we did .. place was full. We had the lobster linguini ..

I was struggling to find restaurants around the south end of Nova Scotia that had complete lobster dinners in November, but this little place did not disappoint! They requested I ordered it ahead of time so I went ahead and made a reservation. When I arrived I also ordered the swordfish steak dinner to go. Great atmosphere, great staff, and excellent food. I’m told this is where all the local fishermen go to get a good fish dinner!

Wow wow wow! The quality, the service, the variety were amazing. I really appreciated that there was the option to get the seafood battered or pan-seared (gluten-free and healthier). The salad was beautiful and had just enough lobster, and the seafood chowder was light and tasty. Everything was just perfect and I hope we can come back again during our vacation!

I tried the fish and chips. That was just perfect. And over all the fish and chips I tried in the maritimes, this one in incomparable! Fresh fish, delicious batter, good portion, homemade tartare sauce. And the fries, perfectly salted. That’s the kind of place I would definitely return.

While on holiday with my gentleman friend to visit his momma Barb in Nova Scotia, we both live in Ontario, she took us to dinner at her favorite restaurant, Mr. Fish Shelburne NS. Barb and her friend Burnley are regular customers, they were greeted by name, sat at their favorite table, and she was happy to introduce Kenny as her son, and me as his lady friend. Of course I didn’t really need a menu, I’m from PEI but haven’t been home in years. I wanted FISH! I did read over the extensive list of very affordable options, everything from FISH to Burgers, and awesome deserts too, I had the chocolate pie . I haven’t had it since my momma passed years ago. All I felt was “HOME” in this gem of a restaurant. Sandra and Jim are the incredible hosts/owners and they both came to welcome us. They sat a bit to chat, it was as if we were family. This place is a perfect place for date night, gathering with friends, or dinner with your family and children. The food is what I considered perfection! Last Friday I had Fish and chips with coleslaw and a side of gravy. Last night I ordered the FISH bits and fries with the coleslaw and gravy, followed by the chocolate pie. My mouth is watering while writing this review. Mr. Fish deserves 10+ stars! If you’re looking for a real taste of home cooking, look no further. Go! Enjoy! I hope those reading this review will be kind enough to add their own.

I get a seafood platter first time I eat somewhere if it’s available, and this place has to be the best I’ve had in a while. I ordered it on take out because I was just passing though. It comes with an option of fries or mash (I took fries). There’s 100% enough to feed 2 people, 2 large pieces of fish stacked in the middle surrounded by shrimp, clams, scallops and fries (they were in a seperate container) It was delicious and the tartar sauce was awesome! I hope to get there again!

Absolutely Fantastic food and service! Reasonable prices. Wear your stretchy pants. They also have a wonderful selection of frozen seafood to purchase as well. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place. Food was delicious, the service was top notch and everyone was smiling. If you are in the Shelburne area definitely drop by. Sorry my pictures of the meals were partially eaten; I could not wait to try the lobster clubhouse. 10 out of 10 for me.
