Always consistent , I have never received cold or less than awesome take out. They are always busy, so this family run business is doing it right. My eggroll was lukewarm at best and I ordered take out and ate it in the car. I ordered Chop Suey, because I like bean sprouts and it didnt have any. Maybe I should have asked but I’ve never ordered it anywhere else and had Chop Suey without beam sprouts. The food was OK. Rice was kinda mushy, there was hardly any sauce. Won’t be back.

The food was excellent. Make no mistake there. Delivery was fast and friendly.
There was a coupon for free fried rice for a minimum order which they didn’t honor.
Like I said, the food is great, just don’t get fooled by their offers.

My kids grabbed a Chinese food brochure for Mr. Cook’s Chinese Cuisine from the door and insisted on takeout. Mr. C’s is a small counter-service restaurant with limited seating. They have many lunch and dinner specials. We got a nice selection. Everything was pretty good and reasonably priced. The kids were happy!

The reviews are way off and so is the taste of the food. I ordered 2 lunch specials sweet and sour chicken and chicken chop suey with fried rice. They both tasted like burnt fish sauce or something burnt. They gave me cashew chicken first and I took it back and they swapped it out of a bag for delivery and said it was chop suey but it looks like stir fry and tasted like burnt something. Their chop suey is not even close to any chop suey anywhere else. All the food tasted burnt and fishy. Even lots of soy sauce couldn’t mask the taste. Should have went and got my money back but I’ll take it home for the dogs to see if they will eat it

I used to love Mr Cooks. I don’t know what happened, but our last two orders have had major problems. After having fantastic food Christmas day ( except for missing egg roll) we placed another order of almost the same items and it was awful. The mein fun had no sauce on it at all, and tasted like plain ramen noodles. Thinking it was just bad luck, we decided to order again. The Hong Kong chow mein stated it was over pan fried noodles. No noodles at all, just white rice. Kung pao looked delicious but had absolutely zero taste. I had to add our own seasonings just so it had some flavor. I asked about BBQ fried rice, and was told to order pork fried rice. Turned out to be just plain fried rice with some flavorless tough pork, no BBQ. Sadly we aren’t going to be ordering from Mr Cooks again. I’m not willing to waste anymore money. I really hope they get it together.

Against my better judgement and intuition we ordered from here. It was a costly mistake!!!
We WERE loyal customers! The day after and as I type this review, I am still disgusted and pissed off by the time and money wasted on and the amount of inedible food we had to throw away.
Here was our order and cost:
1) Boneless spare ribs $10.75 (7/10)
(this was the best dish but, it was way over sauced)
2) Shrimp fried rice $9.25- 1/10
( I couldn’t even swallow it because it was so hard and old)
3) Chicken Lo Mein ($9.50 value) – 3/10
(The noodles were cooked fine but, again this was flovorleas, too.
This was free because of the minimum total promotion.)
4) Shrimp Egg Foo Young $10.25 – 1/10
(It was bland and the gravy was so cold ot looked like jello pudding and was just as gloveless)
5) House Mein Fun $10.25 – 1/10
(Bland)
6) Sesame Chicken $11.75 -0/10
(It was way over sauced and hard)
7) Shrimp w/Garlic Sauce $12.20 – 3/10
*(This was the dish that we previously enjoyed and the reason we ordered food again.)
**The egg roll that came with one of the meals was overcooked but, more flavorful than any of the dishes.**
There were NO eating utensils, napkins and only 2 fortune cookies and 4 soy sauce packets.
We threw away the sesame chicken, shrimp egg foo young, shrimp fried rice and the house special Mein fun
We threw the rest away today because as my daughter said “it wasn’t going to get any better”.
I hate to waste food. There is so much of it in the world but, to have the audacity to charge for less than mediocre is diabolical!
I actually only had one bite of most of the food of which I spat every bite out.
As a a chef, I was gobsmacked at how awful the food and our experience was.
I finally called the restaurant in about 30 minutes late; the same time it took to make it home and take a bite. The manager said his name was Ben and the fact that o had to debate with him about how awful the food was and to demand a controllable of a refund was beyond me. I deserved a full refund minus the boneless barbecue pork and I NEVER order pork nor eat it.
I have yet to receive the refund for the two meals I agreed to under duress. The more I think about it the more I want to file a claim with my bank.
I was robbed! No wonder they give away food with a certain total. Sadly, the negative reviews are true.
I have eaten around the world and this experience is on the top of my DO NOT EAT LIST!

Didn’t even eat here, we came in at around 2:50pm on a Sunday to order 4 lunch specials. They were fairly busy and 1 worker was taking a phone order as we were looking at the menu, we then waited 5 minutes for someone to come take our order and at 3pm exactly they came to the counter to take an order. The lady then told us we couldnt order the lunch special because it was now 3pm. I understand the lunch special to dinner special cutoff time but we were already there and ready to order before 3pm. This felt like an intentional cash grab to force us into buying dinner specials, its not like the food is different or they changed the menu, its just a different portion size and sides for more money.They absolutely could have honored the lunch special for us as we were standing right there the whole time. I cannot recomend a business that does this. It doesnt matter how good the food is. Bad attitude and bad service is an instant turn away for me. We ended up going to burger king for lunch. Its a shame because it looks like they’ve got good food and they have been at this location a long time. If you want the lunch special, come in 30 minutes before the cutoff time or they might make you wait until after.
